“Fuck.” I shook my head. “I don’t want to think about what he would have done.”

When I’d burst into the room he had her in a corner, her scent reeking with rotten terror. I’d seen red. We’d already been delayed by Laura, who declared we couldn’t just barge into her house. Micah picked her up and moved her out of our way. She was probably still sputtering in shock when we left.

Good riddance.

“If the stuff with the business wasn’t enough, which we now have proof of on the video along with whatever he said to her, then assaulting her is more than enough to exercise the morality clause,” Micah said.

Our agreement with him had protections. Of course it did. We weren’t foolish. A man like Frank would always try to take more than he was given.

We held the majority stake of his company now, and though he thought he could get out of it, it was over. I would bet good money Frank had promised Joseph the numbers he was pressuring Ocean to get. And if he didn’t provide them, Joseph had set him up to take the fall. If I was right, Aiden, and then our lawyers, would prove it.

“You didn’t have a chance to look at the trust,” Cameron said.

“Not yet. And I won’t until after the heat. I won’t be able to think about anything properly. And if they pulled something shady while all of our instincts are at their highest?”

“Agreed. It’s a good idea to wait.” Micah let his hand sweep down her back once more. Then he paused. “Now that she knows. Do you think she’d want to?”

He didn’t need to clarify what he meant. Bonding. I’d wanted to bite her the instant I scented her, and I knew they were with me. “I do,” I said. “But we’ll see if she’s ready for that.”

Our poor Omega was still overwhelmed by the reality of our loving her. Bonding to us for life was a huge decision no matter what. For now, the fact that she was our wife and ours was enough. But the minute she said the word, I would sink my teeth into her and meld our souls. Make her mine forever.

“We should all probably eat something,” Cam said.

Marcella hadn’t answered yet, which was fine. It was past her daily hours, and we didn’t force her to answer things when she was off duty. There was more than enough food in the house for the four of us.

“Let’s grab something,” I said to him.

We needed pants, just in case one of the staff was here. Which was why it was good that we’d designed all our bedrooms in the same wing. It was generally off limits outside of specific times to be cleaned.

Cam ran a hand through his hair and leaned on the kitchen island. “Not how I expected to end the day.”

“Definitely not. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

I spotted a banana and smiled. We needed more, but that would be perfect. Especially after our wedding night. There was a muffin too, and that would be enough, with some water. With the amount of fucking we were doing, there would definitely be more time for snacks later.

“No,” Cam said before laughing. “Me either. But damn, my head is still spinning.”

“I know the feeling.”

We inhaled some food and grabbed some for Micah before his phone chimed. “Toys are here.”

“Excellent.” Watching Ocean with toys on our honeymoon had been entrancing. Now that she was ours and knew it? I hoped she would release every last inhibition.

I retreated to the nest. Even Ocean’s bedroom was soaked in the syrupy sweetness of her heat perfume. It made my mouth water. I would need an entirely different kind of snack soon. And when I stepped inside, her eyes were open. Sleepy, but open. She hadn’t been asleep long, but with how intense her heat had it, that wasn’t entirely unexpected.

“Hello, little nymph.”

She smiled and pressed her head into Micah’s chest. “Hi.”

“I brought you some food. Micah too. Need to keep your strength up for all the fucking.”

Ocean’s cheeks turned a delectable shade of pink, darkening her skin further. I set the food down and Micah helped move Ocean over to me, so she was curled against my side and he could eat.

She tried to sit up, but I didn’t let her.

“I can eat by myself.”

I held in my laugh and kissed her forehead. “You’re barely keeping yourself awake, nymph.”
