She thought that this was her chance, and that she was going to take it.
Esme cleared her throat and asked him to come in.
The door opened seconds later and there he was, her knight in shining armor. He shut the door and walked over to her.
“Hi,” he said, smiling.
“Hey,” she replied with a slight wave.
Asher took a seat by her bed and asked.
“How are you?”
She thought it weird that he was asking how she was when she didn't give him the impression that wasn't okay.
They had had dinner together over an hour ago and he didn't ask her this at that time, so why now?
It didn't matter because she was glad that he was there at that particular time.
“I'm alright. I'm fine,” she replied, trying to mask her nervousness.
He looked so sexy and she felt like devouring him immediately, but she was too timid, so she just sat there silently.
“I wanted to check on you and know how you're doing,” he said, rising to his feet.
No, please. Don't go.
She wished that she had said that out loud but she figured that her silence was the reason he was leaving so soon.
He was obviously thinking that she was not interested in his company, hence his decision to leave.
“Do you have to go?” The words fell out of her mouth and she was glad that they did.
Asher looked at her and asked, “do you want me to stay?”
Esme's heart leaped for joy as she smiled broadly and tried to nod with composure so she wouldn't seem desperate.
“Alright, I'll stay with you.” He smiled back, revealing his perfect dentition.
Asher sat on the bed beside her, and from the way she looked at him, he could tell that she wanted him. Without a word, he dared to kiss her, and she didn't withdraw; instead, she kissed him back, replicating the movements of his lips and tongue.
The heat was rising within her, and her breath was failing her. Slowly, Asher laid her down on the soft quilt over the bed. Her eyes were shut as she swooned at the sensation of his hands traveling her body, feeling her curves and soft skin.
He broke his lips from hers and said with a smile, “You're beautiful.”
Esme blushed as her hands traversed his broad chest.
“There's something you should know,” she said with a little stutter, unsure of how he would react, “I…I'm err…” She swallowed a little. “I'm a virgin.”
She searched his eyes immediately, desperate to know his take on it. Esme was worried that it might disappoint him, but he just smiled.
“It’s okay,” he said. “The fact that you've never kissed anyone before kind of gave it away.”
“You're not mad?” she asked softly.
“No. Not at all.” He planted a relieving kiss on her forehead, and she let out a soft sigh.
“Would you like me to stop?” Asher asked her.
