Drake breathed into the receiver. “Are you sitting down?”

I glanced at Grace and laughed. “Yeah, in a manner of speaking.”

“The flash drive has everything we need. Proof Fitzy hired The Lucaya Group to kill Bash and Damian’s parents. Evidence of every crime Fitzy ever committed. It’s enough to put the old man away for life.”

I pulled out of Grace and dropped to the chair beside her, scrubbing a hand across my jaw. “Why did he do it?”

“If he didn’t kill Damian’s parents, they would have inherited the shares of Atlantic Airlines stock. Viktor detailed everything in his research. The stock purchase and transfer. Fitzy forged the paperwork to retain a large stake in the company.”

“He killed them for shares in the company? Didn’t he own part of it?”

“No,” Drake said. “Not until after the Kincaids and Townsends died.”

I tucked myself back into my pants and hooked my arm around Grace. “What else did you find on the drive?”

“An endless list of Fitzy’s crimes. Everything from bank fraud to murder. I’m still going through the files, but I wanted to give you a heads up before Grace hears the news from Bash.”

“I’ll tell her. Thanks, Drake.”

After we hung up, I stuffed my phone in my pocket and looked at Grace. “Your grandfather lied about everything. Viktor is telling the truth. So if you want to see him again, it’s safe.”

Her eyes widened. “What’s next?”

“Bash and Damian are going to confront Fitzy. They’ll handle it.”

“Good.” She pressed her lips to mine. “My grandfather deserves to die.”

“Do you know what this means?” I brushed my lips against hers and smiled. “We’re free.”

“I’m free,” she sighed. “Finally.”

I raised her hand to my mouth, took Rhys’s ring off her finger, and chucked it across the room. “Marry me, Grace. I love you. You’re the only woman I have ever and will ever love. So marry me.”

She gasped. “Are you serious?”

I nodded. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

I reached into my pocket and pulled out my mother’s engagement ring. Since her death, I had kept it with me just in case this worked in my favor.

She stared at the massive princess-cut diamond, her eyes as wide as her mouth. “I love you, too, Cole.” She giggled. “I can’t believe I’m saying this on my wedding day, but yes, I will marry you.”

Chapter Fifty-Four

GRACE

After I accepted Cole’s proposal, we enlisted the help of Bastian and The Devil’s Knights to sneak off my grandfather’s property. And once we were on the road, I called my father. He gave me an address and said he would be waiting for us.

I knocked on the front door of a brick Colonial with blue shutters. My palm was sweaty, and Cole rubbed it down the side of his pants when he noticed.

A moment later, my father appeared in the entryway with a smile. He wore a black suit, a crisp white shirt, and a red tie. Unlike me, he had dark hair and eyes.

“Kisa.” He wrapped his arms around me, lifting my feet off the ground. “I’m so glad you’re here.” He put me down and held me at arm’s length to study my face. “You have no idea how much I missed you.”

He shook Cole’s hand, then ushered us inside the house, steering us down the hallway and into the living room.

“I’d like you to meet Vera, my girlfriend.”

I followed his gaze to the beautiful blonde woman perched on the couch with a glass tipped to her lips. She was maybe in her early thirties, much younger than my dad.
