"Does this hurt?" I asked, knowing fully well it didn't but I needed an excuse now for touching her legs.

Her breath hitched as she shook her head no and I felt myself grow even harder. I realized there was no way I could hide it now. If she looked down, she’d surely see the noticeable bulge protruding from my jeans.

Why the hell am I getting this turned on by an ankle?

However, before my fingers could make their dangerous ascent further, I was interrupted by Clay entering back inside through the sliding doors, the intrusion caused me to jump and drop Jovie's foot to the floor. Jovie winced as her foot smacked the ground before I could realize what I had done.

“Shit, sorry,” I said, grabbing her foot, placing it back on the couch and replacing the ice pack.

“Hey Nash, you staying for a movie or headed back home? Jovie and I were going to watch Scary Movie 2.” he asked.

What I really need is that ice pack on my balls right now.

“Um, sure. I’ll stick around for a bit,” I responded.

Not like I have anything better to do on a Monday night and at this point, I couldn’t exactly stand up without knocking Jovie in the face with my cock. I shifted myself barely moving from the coffee table to the end of the couch where Jovie’s feet were propped.

There’s no other place to sit, I told myself, though the truth was I wanted to take those feet back into my lap and see what it felt like to suck on her toes. I wondered if she’d like that.

Clay headed to Clarence’s TV, flipped it on and shuffled through the DVDs he had lined up until he found the movie that they’d decided on. Firing up the old DVD player, he plopped the disc in and then sunk down on a chair near the front.

As the movie progressed, my eyes kept drifting to watch Jovie. I tried not to think about Jovie’s feet a mere inch from me, but I couldn’t help it.

And now I’ve developed a foot fetish.

We were an hour deep, and Clay and Jovie were howling in laughter, but I hadn’t noticed a single scene. Finally, my boner had subsided enough to stand up and grab a drink. I made a stiff scotch and stood in the kitchen watching the two of them laugh. I rolled my eyes at my idiot brother who had somehow become Jovie’s new best friend in the past week. Of course, seeing him laugh like that with her made me happy, though I'd never tell him that. Clay didn’t have many friends, and I caught myself inadvertently smiling at the ridiculous scene.

At that moment, Jovie’s eyes looked up at me from the couch. Those big, bright green orbs that matched her perfectly pouty lips as she gave me a shy smile. I smiled back, tipping my drink to her like an idiot because I didn’t know what else to do.

I should leave before I cross a line.

“You mind grabbing me another ice pack out of the freezer? This one has warmed up,” she whispered into the dark.

I nodded my head, grabbed one from the freezer and then returned next to her, exchanging the one that she’d had for the cold one. I pressed it gently against her foot.

“That better?” I asked.

She nodded and bit down on one of her lips, hard.

I’m ruined.

“How’s it feeling now?”

“It feels a lot better,” she whispered again.

I nodded and forced my eyes away to look back at the screen, though I'd forgotten what we were even watching.

My eyes cast to Clay, who’d been silent for the past 10 minutes. I realized now that was because he’d fallen asleep sitting straight up in the armchair.

I looked back at Jovie, who was watching me carefully. She nodded towards him. “It was a humid day, and we worked hard. I also saw him sneak some of the moonshine into his water bottle at lunch," she whispered.

I chuckled softly.

“Maybe you could help him to his room?” she suggested, and I swallowed, knowing exactly where this was headed.

Chapter 18: Nash

I stood, picked up my little brother, and carried him to the guest room in the back and then silently closed the door behind him.
