I turn around and find Chloe on the porch, Cade behind her.

Cade sighs and comes to stand next to me. "Who said what?"

"Sterling insulted Kai's ability to get me off." I wince again, as Kai lands a good hit on Sterling.

Cade laughs. "That'll do it."

"Do they do this often?" Chloe asks, standing next to Cade with a white knuckled grip on the banister.

"They used to do it more," Cade says. "It's been awhile since they've duked it out."

"Why do they do it?"

I huff. "They’re both arrogant, stubborn assholes?"

Cade nods, ignoring Chloe's wide-eyed stare. He glances at me, watches me watch them, and he leans over to whisper in my ear. "This turns you on, doesn't it?"

I bite my lower lip and squeeze my legs together in response.

He chuckles. "Good to know."

The fight is brutal. Both of them are bleeding, bruised, and breathing heavily. I can't tell who has the upper hand. I watch Kai take Sterling to the ground, and I think for sure, that's the end of it.

"Give in, pup?" Kai growls, pressing Sterling into the grass.

Sterling barks a laugh. "Not a chance." He kicks Kai off of him, and Kai goes flying through the air.

With his vampire reflexes, Kai twists and lands on his feet. My mouth drops open, stunned by that display. I glance back at Sterling, and find a giant silver wolf where Sterling was, shredded pants next to it.

"Great. There goes his clothes." I sigh and lean against Cade.

"Like you care if he walks around naked." He bumps me, and I elbow him in return.

"Well, no. But I'm sure everybody else minds."

"Eh. I certainly don't mind." The smile in his voice is obvious. And it's obvious, even though Kai and Sterling are fighting, they are still listening to our conversation.

Kai whips around to look at Cade with a 'what the fuck' expression, eyes wide and mouth open in disbelief. The distraction costs him. Sterling tackles Kai to the ground and closes his jaws around Kai's throat. Not enough to break skin, but a clear sign that Sterling has won.

"Son of a bitch," Kai growls.

Fluffy releases him and licks his face, making Kai grimace. I blink, and Sterling is bending down to help Kai to his feet.

"Own up, prince. Who's the better mate?" Sterling taunts.

Kai glares at Cade. "Traitor."

"Oh," Chloe says.

I glance at her and find her staring at Sterling, pink staining her cheeks. A smile tugs at my lips and I lean around Cade. "That’s Cole's brother." I wink at her, then laugh when Cade chokes.

Chloe squeaks and turns around, rushing for the door and disappearing inside.

"Seriously, Ellis? That's not at all what I want to be thinking about." Cade stares at me, and I pat his cheek.

"Come on. Let's get them healed up.

Back in Cole's room that I commandeered, Kai and Sterling sit on the bed. Both shirtless, one pantless. Both bleeding, bruised, and sweaty. They look dangerous. Sexy. Depraved. All except the tightness around Kai's eyes. The strain from so much sun exposure.
