“I hope dinner isn’t cold,” Suvi stated as we walked out of the villa to the private dinner waiting for us on the beach. The sand was warm against my feet as I pulled out her chair and helped her sit down.

The candlelit dinner was beautiful. Wine chilled in a small bucket of ice with two covered plates. We said grace before we uncovered our plates. The surf and turf meal looked delicious accompanied with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The moonlight against the water created the perfect romantic ambiance for the occasion.

“The food is delicious,” Suvi stated after she’d taken a bite of her steak.

“It is.”

Honestly, I didn’t even care for the food. Suvi’s beauty had me hypnotized. The bright caramel tone of her skin coupled with her natural curls flowing down her back had me lost for words. All the years we’d been friends, it took a couple vows and rings to show me the true beauty she encompassed. No other woman could compete with her. I was all in and didn’t have any doubts about our happily ever after.

“How’s everyone back home? I know you talked with my sister yesterday, but I never got around to ask who checked in on you?” Suvi asked.

I thought back to when I’d gone through my notifications yesterday. As I grabbed the wine to fill our glasses, I replied, “I had a couple messages from my parents, my siblings, and employees. Nothing really important. I think the most interesting message I’d received was from Miss Betty. She said when I get back she has some gifts for us.”

“Miss Betty… The old lady who always flirts when she comes in for an oil change?” Suvi queried.

“Yup.”

“She bet not try and steal you from me. I know she makes a delicious sweet potato pie. I can’t compare to a good sweet potato pie!”

I laughed. “Baby, that sweetness between your thighs is better than any dessert. I could drown in your juices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and be content as hell.”

“You’re so nasty, Blaze.”

“You bring out the freak in me.”

“Don’t start. I’m not ready for round two just yet. Even though my coochie is squirming to get back to you.”

“That little pussy knows where home is,” I joked.

Suvi shook her head. “No, but seriously… Thank you for making these last few days so amazing. I’ve never had so much fun in my life.”

“You know whenever we’re together we’re going to have a great time. I’m not surprised we had so much fun, but I am surprised we fell into the couple lifestyle so fast.” I took a sip of my wine.

“You’re right. It feels so natural. I don’t have to second guess anything with you. We go with the flow, and it works,” Suvi agreed.

“Because you were made for me, and I was made for you,” I stated.

“Say that again!” Suvi grinned. She blew me a kiss. I caught it and instead of putting it on my lips, I put it inside my robe. She shook her head.

“It’s getting cold out here. Let’s go inside and get warm.” I licked my lips.

“Baby, my coochie ain’t had this much attentionever,” Suvi joked.

“With me, every part of you will be equally tended to. Your mind, body, and soul will always feel appreciated in my presence,” I explained.

Suvi’s bottom lip poked out into a pout. “Blaze, you haven’t ceased to amaze me. Every time I think we’ve hit the peak, you take us to even higher altitudes.”

“It’s natural to me. I’ve protected you since you were in diapers. I’ve loved you since before we could form sentences. It’s only right I give you every part of me in this marriage.”

“I hope you’re hydrated because I’m about to show my appreciation all night long.”

My dick jumped at the promise. “Shit, come on then.”

We stood from the table, and I draped my arm around her shoulder as we made it back into the villa. The wine had Suvi on demon time. Before we could get to the bedroom good, she’d dropped her robe and was naked in my arms. I turned her every way but loose until the sun peeked through the curtains.

Every moment I’d spent with Suvi since our marriage had been an eye-opening experience. I saw her in ways I hadn’t considered before. We fit together like two puzzle pieces. I prayed no matter what obstacles were ahead, we’d make it through it unscathed.
