Her eyebrows raised. “Yeah. I’d like one or two at the most somewhere down the line. Why do you ask?”

“I know I nutted in you too many times. Even if you are on birth control, no pill or shot is strong enough to keep all my little swimmers from fertilizing those eggs.”

It took her a moment to process my words. Once the realization settled in, she busted into a fit of laughter. The sound of her amusement was music to my ears. They could probably hear her loud ass from at least a mile away. “Blaze, please shut up.”

“I’m just saying. If we created a little Blaze or mini-Suvi last night, I’m ten toes down for a growing family.”

“I’m on birth control, but if you somehow manage to still get me pregnant, I’ll be ready for it.”

I smirked. “Good. Do you remember when we were teenagers and made the promise to take each other’s virginities?”

“Now why you bringing up our crazy childhood stories in front of strangers?” she asked with a raised brow.

“They could use a good laugh too,” I responded.

“You’re a mess, B. You know that?”

I nodded proudly. “Yeah.”

“But to answer your question, how could I forget? We planned it down to the songs we’d listen to and everything,” she replied.

“Janet Jackson and Ginuwine were gonna get us right,” I joked.

“Then you went and let that bitch Keshia take your virginity instead,” Suvi reminded.

I chuckled. “Hey, I would have been a fool not to let that girl snatch my soul. She had the biggest titties in the city.”

“You’re a pig. You know that, right?” Suvi asked.

I shook my head. “Nah. I’m a man who enjoys the assets women have. I recall you losing your virginity to what’s his name?”

“We don’t talk about Bruno,” Suvi stated blankly.

“Who the fuck is Bruno?”

“Blaze, we watched that moviehow many times? I sing the soundtracksomuch. I can’t believe you don’t remember the most iconic part of the movie.”

“My bad.”

Rosa and Irma finished up our massages. We wrapped the pure white robes around our bodies and sat up.

“Thank y’all so much for the massages. Y’all made us feel better than we’ve ever felt before. I’ve never felt so relaxed,” I explained.

“You’re welcome,” Irma replied.

We gave them both a large tip before we locked hands and headed back to our cabana. On the silent walk, I enjoyed the sun while also reminiscing about the promise we’d made to each other.

It was a hot summer night when Suvi and I were out in the streets. I’d just gotten the pickup truck passed down to me and wanted to take Suvi for a ride around the city. We’d drove around in the truck with the windows open while we shared a daiquiri together. Neither of us were old enough to drink, but I had some connections at the drive-thru daiquiri shop near the house. Old school R&B played through the speakers while we jammed out together.

Suvi passed the cup to me. “Remember the time we got caught watching porn in middle school?” she asked.

I chuckled. “Hell yeah. Mama whupped my ass until it was black and blue.”

Back in the day HBO came with the regular cable package. After a certain hour, they’d play those adult films. Suvi and I had Nickelodeon on one channel and the adult film on the other. We were curious to see what was going on. Personally, the tan woman and man didn’t do much for me or Suvi, but our Mamas made sure we knew those channels weren’t for kids.

“I still remember how freaked out I was thinking about how much that must have hurt that lady.”

“If it’s done right, I heard it could be really fun.”
