I laughed. “You’re insane.”
He grinned. “You love it, though.”
“I do,” I admitted.
His grin widened, and he kissed me again.
Harder.
“Next week,” he repeated, more emphatically. “If you’re sure, I’m not waiting any longer. I’ll talk your mom into it for you.”
He grabbed his phone and lifted it to his ear, giving me that same damn mischievous grin as he waited for her to answer.
Eli was a pain in my ass… but I loved that almost as much as I loved him.
And after the way the last month had gone, I was pretty damn sure that would never change.

VI
Our wedding was exactly four weeks after Eli called my mom. He was right. She had been pissed, and then absolutely thrilled.
And she’d planned the most beautiful wedding I’d ever seen.
After the ceremony was over and the party was in full swing, he pulled me into his arms and swept me across the dance floor.
I never would’ve called myself a romantic until that moment.
It was absolutely perfect.
And it only got better when he leaned down and murmured into my ear, “You know you’re going to have to start introducing yourself as Vi Sky, now, right?”
I laughed so hard, my eyes watered.
Which made him laugh.
We were still smiling when we made our way off the dance floor. After an hour of congratulations, we finally got a moment alone again.
I whispered into Eli’s mind, “Think you can find some guy to take me home tonight?”
He chuckled, wrapping his arm around my middle. “I’ve got someone in mind.”
It was so, ridiculously cheesy…
But I loved it.
And I would never have wanted it any other way.

ELI—AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE
“At least Jas and Randa had boys,” I told Vi, relaxing on the couch with my very pregnant mate against my side as we watched the two light-haired, golden-skinned toddlers play. They were only a few weeks apart, and looked like siblings.
“Can you imagine how many more questions we’d get about them being twins if they were the same gender? Sheesh.” Vi shook her head.
Their older cousins came racing into the room, one dark-haired and another light-haired. August and Elodie’s son got along brilliantly with Randa and Jasper’s oldest.
