“He’s not—”
“Yes,” Enzo said, cutting me off.
A deep chuckle rattled from his chest as his eyes roamed me from head to toe. Even if he hadn’t smelled the perfume exploding from Amir, there was no way he couldn’t tell what we’d been doing in here.
“I’m glad you two are getting along so well already.”
Like someone had thrown ice water over my head, I turned to look at Amir.
“Were you here to…” I looked at Enzo. “This is the omega you were meeting tonight? Who you wanted me to meet?”
That smirk was still on his face as he nodded. “I didn’t know he was going to be early or I would have arranged a table in the VIP section.”
Oh no. I’d just fucked the omega my pack was hoping to court, hoping to add to the pack. I had literally thrown myself at him, begged him to bend me over Cyrus’s desk like some needy…
Lifting my hands, I covered my face as my cheeks felt like they would burst into flames.
Gentle hands pulled them away and I was surprised to see a concerned look on Enzo’s face.
“Why are you embarrassed? He’s hot. And he obviously wanted you. You can’t think you two are the first to utilize one of the offices.”
“Okay, picturing the three of you getting busy back here is not helping,” I said, jabbing a finger at his chest.
We teased and play flirted, but little did they know…my flirting was real. It wasn’t an act when I told them they were hot or that I was jealous of their one-night flings. I wanted them in a way that…well, in a way Amir would have them if things went well.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know he was…shit.” I was still buzzed from the shots and drinks, but my embarrassment over the situation was making things both clearandmore confusing.
Because I really, really wanted this omega.
Yet he’d come here to meet the alphas, come to see whether they would be compatible, to see whether they were all interested in the whole courting thing.
That concept was still a little foreign to me. In my world, in my family, alphas simply took what they wanted. They didn’t bother asking the omega or even beta what they wanted or whether they were interested in joining the pack.
But Enzo was the brother of my sister’s alpha. While Corazon’s pack hadn’t exactly courted her in the beginning, they’d made damn sure to make up for lost time and constantly smothered her in gifts and affection.
It didn’t hurt that the five of them were expecting their first child.
Neither Cora nor I had any idea what loving parents looked like, yet the alphas of Pack Rivera were so damn loving toward her and had bought far more than any child would ever need before the pup was born.
“What the hell are you sorry for?” Enzo asked, his brows pulled together in confusion as a very amused look glittered in his eyes and his lips quirked as though he was trying and failing to hide a smile.
“If you’re sorry, I definitely didn’t do any of that right,” Amir teased.
I looked between the two of them, looking for…I wasn’t sure. Disapproval? Judgment? Anger?
Amir looked content, sated, relaxed.
And a little aroused.
His pupils were blown again, and his sweet scent was filling the air and making it hard to focus.
Or maybe that was the booze swimming through my veins.
“You definitely did everything right,” I said, wincing at the feeling of his release leaking from me. I really needed to rush to the bathroom and clean up. We’d barely finished, had only started to catch our breath when Enzo had knocked on the door.
“Does that mean you’re okay with us courting him?” Enzo asked. He leaned against the door, crossing his arms and legs, and smirked at me. “If Amir is amenable, that is.”
“Amir still needs to meet the other two,” Amir said, looking from Enzo to me before winking. “But this little vixen does live with you, right? She’s pack?”
