It’s not me.

But I’m not stopping now, no way…

Joaquin began to furiously pump his cock as he watched Cole work the soapy flannel over his ass cheeks and then between them too. A myriad of fantasies and images involving Cole suddenly penetrated Joaquin’s mind and before he knew it he felt his legs tremble and thick ropes of cum shoot up from his purple head.

‘Mmmph,’ Joaquin moaned, silencing himself immediately and then frantically pumping the last drops out before putting his cock away and silently tiptoeing back to the safety of the kitchen.

As Joaquin stood at the kitchen sink and washed his hands, he couldn’t help but feel that what just happened was way too close for comfort.

But if he thought that he had gotten away with it, he had another thing coming…

‘Hey, Ranger, you’ll keep that quiet, right?’ Joaquin whispered, noting that the hound had probably watched the whole thing from the safety of the couch.

Joaquin smiled. Ranger wasn’t going to give him up, that was for sure.

However if Joaquin thought that he could get away with anything in Cole’s house, then he had another thing coming…

Chapter 9

Cole

After taking a shower and getting changed into his jeans and white t-shirt, Cole stepped out of his bedroom and walked down the short corridor toward the kitchen.

Joaquin was happily playing with Ranger out front, and Cole saw this as a perfect time to check in with his friends. Cole was happy enough that looking after the boy was the right call, but he wanted to reach out to Vince and Roddy – the pair of them both had contacts in the city, and any information they could provide about this asshole Rohan Katsen might just make the difference.

‘Okay, let’s see what my guys can conjure for me…’ Cole said, tapping out his message.

COLE: Hey. I’ve got a problem. Well, a friend has a problem, but I’m making it mine if you follow my drift. I’m looking for intel on a piece of shit called Rohan Katsen. He’s a lowlife in the city, so I figured one of you two might have come across his name before. If you know anything, hit me back.

RODDY: Katsen? Yeah, the name strikes a chord with me. I’ll need to reach out to a couple of guys, but I’ll hit you up with the details as soon as I hear back.

VINCE: I haven’t heard the name, but I’ll get in touch with a couple of less than respectable dudes I know too. In the meantime, I think we need to know who this mysterious ‘friend’ is…

COLE: Thank you both. Talk later.

Cole frowned and shook his head. He was happy that his friends were potentially going to be able to help uncover a little more about Katsen, but the prospect of talking about Joaquin was less appealing.

Over the years, Cole had always kept his private life to himself. Maybe it was a legacy form his days as a hockey pro when he constantly faced a tirade of media intrusion into his private life.

This media intrusion had only intensified when Cole started falling foul of the law and hockey authorities too. In fact, at one point it all got so intense that Cole considered retiring from the sport early. Of course, that decision was ultimately taken out of Cole’s hands, but there was no doubt about it – Cole liked to keep his business close to his chest.

Even when Cole hooked up with a guy in a club – which was rare these days – he wouldn’t tell either Vince or Roddy if he could get away with it. It wasn’t that Cole didn’t trust either of them. In fact, Cole would have trusted both of his Ridgeback Falls friends with his life. But Cole Tyrant was simply a man who kept his cards close to his chest and there was no way that was changing any time soon.

As he walked out from the house and onto the front porch, Cole glanced over at Joaquin as he pranced around and played a game with Ranger. The two of them looked like old friends. Cole knew that Ranger could be aloof with strangers, but to see the hound so engaged and carefree with Joaquin was something else.

I don’t blame Ranger.

The boy’s got it all.

And he’s got a big shock headed his way too…

The woodland was dense, full of life, and the kind of place that a person could go missing in if they weren’t careful. In fact, Cole had often wondered whether he might stumble across a body one day, such was the sheer size and scale of the place.

It wasn’t that Ridgeback Falls was some kind of epicenter for crime or anything like that, but it certainly wasn’t unheard of for people to disappear and never be seen again.

‘This place is pretty fucking impressive,’ Cole said, watching as Ranger dashed between the tall, ancient trees. ‘For Ranger, it’s his own personal playground. He’s probably seen sights here that even I haven’t. Hell, the hound could probably tell a hundred tales of his own adventures here if only he could talk. Ranger sees everything.’

After walking for about forty minutes into the depths of the woodland that arched around one side of his house, Cole could tell that Joaquin might be getting suspicious as to where they were headed…
