“It’s the girl from two years ago, the one I fucked in Greece. She told me her name was Valerie, but it's actually Veronica. She posted the video of us dancing, and I only saw it yesterday. I can’t fucking believe I finally found her,” I told him excitedly. I would have to ask her to take that damn video down as soon as possible. It was generating way too much attention. This could cause lots of problems for me, and potentially, Spencer, too. I passed the phone to him.

“So, she’s been searching for you all this time, too, huh?” he commented.

I didn’t even know why, but I was angry all of a sudden. She shouldn’t have gone online with this, especially since Spencer was the Prime Minister. I had been trying to be more cautious and protect my privacy for his sake.

Maybe my lustful drive got in the way of being realistic about her personality. Maybe beneath that bombshell body she wasn’t the woman for me. I barely knew this woman. She clearly had no reservations about plastering our relationship all over the Internet. She needed to take that video down. But first, I had to find her, which wouldn’t be so hard now. Apart from the amazing sex back in Greece, I didn’t know anything else about this girl.

I was out with my brothers now, but I kept going back to that video, not knowing why. I couldn’t do anything about it at this present time, so I just had to try to enjoy myself and forget about her for at least a few hours.

“Doesn’t fucking matter. She crossed the line, and I’m not happy about it.”

“You don’t look so good. Are you sure you want to socialise tonight?” Spencer asked me.

And now I felt bad that I was going to ruin his night. As far as I knew, he didn’t date, just like me. Ever since Maja’s mother left, he had kept a cool distance with all women.

“Yes, come on. Let’s have fun, brother.” I knew I had to get Veronica out of my head, at least for tonight. She was beautiful, smart, and she most likely lived in London. But, I told myself I’d been living in fantasy land for the past two years thinking we would have been a great match. We obviously weren’t.

“I doubt it,” he muttered, clearly not in the mood for partying tonight.

“Oh, come on. These brick walls here will be with you at all times.” I motioned to his bulky security guys who kept impassive expressions. “Put on those sunglasses I gave you.” I pulled out my shades and handing them to him.

“That would make me look like an idiot.”

“Well, what’s new, brother?” I guffawed.

Spencer glared at me. He motioned to his bodyguards to follow, and we all headed down a long corridor, the loud music heavy in the background. The space was impressive. Everything screamed luxury. There were people everywhere, but it wasn’t too crowded. I was suddenly glad when Spencer listened to me and put the sunglasses on. I insisted on going straight to the first floor where another VIP section was located, this one not completely secluded. James and Matthews were already seated on a large leather sofa, talking when we approached.

“Whoa, I think my eyes are misleading me. This can’t be the one and only Spencer Banks!” Matthews jousted as Spencer sat next to him.

A blonde waitress showed up by our table. “What can I get you?”she asked with a smile plastered on her face.

“The best whiskey you have for all of us,” Spencer suddenly announced.

I was a little shocked that he’d finally decided to loosen up a little. His security detail sat close by, always on alert.

“Rupert dragged me here tonight. Totally unplanned, of course, and maybe not the best idea." He stared at me with the same annoyed expression.

“Fuck me, in that case, that’s definitely an occasion we need to celebrate. I bet all of us could leave this place with women by our side, if we wanted,” Matthews cheered, already drinking a cocktail of some sort. He winked at Spencer.

“Spencer, indeed it’s a surprise to see you.” James lifted his head from his phone. His amber eyes studied him closely.

“What about me, you fucker? I dragged that bastard here so he could have some fun before Maja breaks up for the summer.” I looked directly at him.

“You don’t need to hide away here, but Spencer should keep a low profile. You shouldn’t be here, especially tonight,” James pointed out.

“What the fuck is your issue, mate? Is this about the housing policy in parliament recently? That’s what you’re pissed about?” Spencer appeared frustrated.

Matthews and I exchanged puzzled glances; we were baffled by their exchange. Then the pretty waitress came back with the drinks, so the tension eased up a little.

“You hired the escort who showed up to your house to be your daughter’s nanny, Spencer,” James stated.

I was suddenly all ears.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Matthews and I asked at the same time.

Spencer questioned Matthews with more suspicion this time. “What I’m trying to figure out is why Laura received a call from Emperor asking her to come to my address?”

“Wait a minute." Rowan was perplexed. “Are you implying that your new nanny works for me?”
