“Not here. Follow us,” Roman added, glancing around the crowded room.

I nodded, allowing them to lead me through the crowd of guests and onto one of the balconies. The night air was cool, a stark contrast to the warmth inside. The distant hum of the city provided a backdrop as we stepped out into the open space. Khalid closed the door behind us, ensuring we had some privacy.

“Alright, what’s this about?” I asked, trying to keep my voice steady despite the growing concern.

Khalid turned to face me; his usually composed expression marred by a deep frown. He looked at Yasmin briefly before meeting my gaze. "We have a situation, Rafael. And it's... it's bad."

"How bad?" I took a step closer, glancing at Roman who avoided eye contact. His silence was unnerving.

Khalid took a deep breath, his eyes darkening with anger. "Ethan took some... scandalous photos of Yasmin. He's threatening to release them to the public unless Yasmin takes him back."

For a moment, I couldn't process his words. They echoed in my head, each repetition making them more real and horrifying. My mouth opened, but no words came out. The room seemed to spin slightly as the magnitude of what Khalid said sank in. When my voice finally returned, it was low and trembling with suppressed rage.

"He did what?" I asked, barely recognizing my voice.

Khalid clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white. "You heard me, Rafael. That scumbag is blackmailing us. Blackmailing Yasmin."

The fury that surged through me was like nothing I had ever felt. My vision blurred around the edges, focusing only on the image of Ethan's smug face. My hands itched to wrap around his throat, to make him pay for what he had done.

"Where is he?" I demanded, my voice barely above a whisper, though it trembled with barely restrained violence. "I'll kill him."

Khalid shook his head, stepping forward to place a calming hand on my shoulder. "Rafael, we can't just—"

"No!" I barked, shrugging off his hand. "We have to do something. He can't get away with this."

Roman finally looked up. "Rafael, please... just listen to Khalid."

I forced myself to take a deep breath, trying to calm the storm inside me. "Fine. What’s the plan, Khalid? Because sitting here and doing nothing isn’t an option."

Khalid sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I haven't told Father yet. You don't know how he is. He'd lose it and probably try to murder Ethan himself."

"Good," I snapped. "Then maybe we should let him."

Khalid shook his head. "No, Rafael. We need to be smart about this. We need a plan that doesn't end with us in prison. We need to find a way to neutralize Ethan without getting our hands dirty."

I paced the room, my mind racing. There had to be a way to deal with Ethan without resorting to outright violence, though every fiber of my being screamed for it. "What about the photos? Where are they?"

Khalid shrugged helplessly. "We don't know. He could have them stored anywhere. We can’t risk tipping him off and making things worse."

"I'll get rid of him," I spoke calmly, even though my mind was racing at a mile per minute. "All it takes is one phone call to put him six feet under."

"If it were that easy, I would have already done it," Khalid snapped. "I know Yasmin is your wife now, but she is my sister, my blood. I would kill for her, but I'm not about to jump the gun and have her afraid to go outside because of pictures posted online. What if he has a failsafe where the photos are released if he dies? What then?"

He had me there. If that happened there would be nothing we could do except minimize the damage. I looked at Khalid, feeling even more frustrated than before. "Then what? We wait for him to make his next move?"

Khalid met my gaze, his eyes steely with determination. "No, we prepare. We'll gather every piece of information about Ethan, find his weaknesses, and use them against him. We'll make it clear that if he goes through with this, it will be the last mistake he ever makes."

I nodded slowly, feeling a grim resolve settling over me. "Alright. But if he so much as breathes wrong, I’m taking him out."

Khalid gave me a small, approving nod. "We’ll make sure he never gets the chance."

I took a deep breath, trying to rein in my anger. "Are you sure you don't know where he is?"

"He's keeping a low profile," Khalid replied. "But he's made it clear that he expects an answer soon."

"Fine," I said, pacing the room. "We'll give him an answer. But not the one he wants."

Khalid raised an eyebrow, intrigued by my sudden determination.
