He works my cock, laving it with his tongue or pressing kisses along my length. But it’s when he starts playing with my balls, I lose it.

“I’m gonna…”

Tinsel pumps me harder, tongue out, and I come with a shout.

“Holy—” No words. I flop back and stare at the ceiling.

Tinsel tucks me back into my underwear, then crawls into the space next to me and cuddles close. “Much better.” We’re skin to skin and I can’t get enough of his heat.

Chapter 13

Tinsel

I wake up with a start. Noel and I fell asleep watching… something. I can’t even remember what now, but it doesn’t matter. He makes me comfortable and, dare I say, loved.

Morning birds chirp. Sun pours in from the window.

The blue security lights in the apartment go off and the sound of jingle bells fills the air. Noel wakes with a gasp and holds me close.

“You okay?” he asks.

I nod. “Waiting on the announcement.” I point to the ceiling.

“Sorry for the interruption,” Snow’s voice comes over the North Pole PA system. “Dylan and I made a miscalculation on the weather barrier. There will be a weather event shortly. If you venture out today, please bundle up as the temperatures will dip quite low. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to work on our magic.”

I frown at the announcement, but don’t blame them. They can’t help it, they’re still learning the ins and outs of their Santa magic. The current Santa and his husband said it could take them years to learn everything, but that they’ll be with them every step of the way.

“Wanna play hooky and stay with me?” Noel asks.

I huff out a sigh. “I’d love nothing more, but we have so many orders that I can’t afford to miss a day. So I need to get to the studio before anything starts.” I push to my feet and press a kiss to his head. “Thank you for last night. It was amazing. Best first date a guy could ask for.” Why the hell does it feel like a weird goodbye? I go searching for my clothes in the kitchen.

“Tinsel?” Noel meets me in the kitchen doorway.

I stop my frantic gathering and take a deep breath.

“Much better.”

“You know exactly how to make me feel better.” I pull Noel into my arms and kiss him.

“But you gotta go. I’ll see you soon.” Noel kisses me one last time before I shrug my shirt on and I head out the door.

“Very soon. I’ll drop the no texting rule because I want to hear from you and don’t want to put a messenger in danger.”

Noel nods and waves his phone. “Sounds good.”

“Send me dick pics.” I wink, grab my ornament from the table, and leave without waiting to see his reaction.

I hate that I have to leave so early, but it’s probably for the best. We had an amazing night and if I linger too long, things might get weird. Next time, though, we’re sleeping in a bed. I crack my back as I head to my apartment. Thank goodness I live so close to my studio and have a passage right into it if I need.

Once I’m out of Noel’s apartment building, the temperature has already dipped significantly and fat snowflakes tumble from the sky. I can’t help but throw my head back and catch a few on my tongue. Snow is the best part of the season. So while I’m happy I’m able to wear my usual shorts comfortably through the year, once it hits October, I really want it to be cold enough to snow until new year.

The gumdrop benches look festive with the snow falling to them. The scent of pine seems muted in the colder air, but it’s probably my imagination. It’s been months since we’ve seen snow and watching it decorate the evergreens now makes me skip down the lane. Pure joy fills my heart.

The path soon fills with other elves, no doubt trying to beat the weather, but it’s one particular elf that draws my attention.

“No good, sons of a—”

“And who are we talking about this fine morning, Fruitcake?”
