“It’ll come in eventually. She’s gorgeous,” Kelly said as she walked up beside us and rested her hand on the back of Sadie’s head.

“I can’t wait till I have nieces or nephews,” she told me as she looked at me out of the corner of her eye.

“Don’t look at me,” I laughed.

“It’s only a matter of time,” she teased, looking back toward the house.

“We’ve barely even decided to move in together. Marriage and babies aren’t happening yet,” I shook my head. I hoped they would in the future, but I wasn’t in a hurry.

“That keyword is yet,” Kelly teased.

“I’d like some nieces and nephews, too,” Elle smiled, and I narrowed my eyes at her.

“Traitor.” She laughed at me and shrugged her shoulders. “You already have a niece.”

“Miguel and Drew’s dog doesn’t count,” Elle rolled her eyes.

“Hey,” Miguel said quickly, holding his hand over his heart. “My dog is an adorable niece, thank you very much.”

“Got any pictures? I wanna see.” Kelly sat beside him in the grass and leaned in as he held up his phone.

“This was when we first got her. She’s a Frenchie.” The grin on his face was priceless. He adored that chubby little dog.

“She’s so cute!” Kelly told him as she fawned over more pictures.

“Speaking of adorable. Is something going on with your interns?” Kelly suddenly asked, swiveling her head in my direction. I laughed at the abrupt subject change.

“I’m not sure,” I shrugged. “One minute they’re fighting, the next they’re making FMEs at each other.”

“FME?” Kelly asked with a frown.

I reached down and covered Sadie’s ears with my palms, which made her giggle. “Fuck me eyes.”

“You mean how Evan keeps looking at you out the kitchen window?” Elle nodded toward the picture window in the kitchen nook. Evan was staring intently in our direction with a small smile.

Both of our fathers were sitting across the table from him. He looked back after a few seconds, and they continued their conversation.

“You don’t think our dad is giving him a hard time, do you, Ethan?” I worried. Sometimes, my father could be a little strict, and I wanted him to accept Evan. He was important.

“Nah. He asked to talk to them both earlier,” Ethan shook his head.

“Evan did?” He hadn’t told me he had plans to talk to our dads. That was weird.

“Yeah. It’s why I joined you lovely ladies out here,” Ethan nodded.

“I’m not a lady,” Miguel smirked as he looked at his brother-in-law.

“But you gossip like one,” Ethan shot back.

“You’re just mad I introduced your thirsty wife to the male models on Instagram,” Miguel sassed, and we all laughed.

“You can hook me up with some hot male models on Instagram,” Kelly laughed and reached for a high five.

“Here, give me your number and I’ll text you some links,” Miguel laughed as he handed Kelly his phone.

“Does Drew know you’re drooling over random guys on your phone?” I teased.

“He knows,” Miguel nodded proudly. “Who do you think sends me new guys to follow?”
