“Hmm,” was all I said before drifting off again.
A few hours later, I was coming down from an orgasm. Adam was still inside me, the two of us a spent and sweaty heap of limbs and skin.
“How many days did you ask off for?” I semi-joked.
“Why? You having fun?” He rolled to the side, and I immediately missed him. “There’s more of all of this,” he said, dragging me against him.
“I meant in terms of recovery time, not more time,” I teased.
“Ahh, the bite,” he said, reaching down to pinch my ass.
“Grrr, I’m really going to bite if I don’t get coffee.”
“I hear you, my lady.”
Adam popped out of bed and strode naked to the bathroom to turn on the stall shower. I looked at the clock. It was after ten, so there wouldn’t be coffee in the lobby.
“Room service?” Adam asked as he walked out naked.
Focusing on his six-pack, I said, “Considering I only have a minidress with me, room service is probably best, you know?”
“Go, get in the shower. I’ll call for breakfast and then join you there.”
In moments, I was under the rainfall showerhead, letting the water sluice over my deliciously sore body. I was debating if I could walk back to my room in a robe, when Adam opened the door and slipped in behind me. Turning me in his arms, he kissed me, letting the hot water stream down my back.
“Twenty minutes,” he mumbled, taking his time kissing me, his hands running all over my wet skin. “I like it here.”
Breaking free, he grabbed the soap. With his hands lathered, he started to wash me, taking his time over my cleavage and down my back.
“They don’t allow non-employees to live here.”
“I know. Remember, I read the rule book.”
Snatching the soap from him, I lathered up my hands and returned the favor.
“I should probably wait until you’ve had coffee, but I’m just going to go ahead and tell you.”
Gripping his hips, bracing myself for whatever he had to say, I raised an eyebrow.
“I bought a place here. On Grand Cayman. Sam helped me.”
“Jesus.” I huffed out a breath. “Sorry, I know he’s not your guy.”
“Actually, he—”
“We don’t have time for that chat now. You bought a place here? Working with Sam? I mean, has everyone kept all of this from me? Or better yet, was I such a sure thing?”
Adam closed his eyes, ducking his head under the showerhead to rinse off the soap, and I poked his arm.
“Don’t ignore me.”
“West Bay,” he said as he turned off the water, then jumped out to grab two towels. “With all the assholes.”
“Well, what’s one more in the mix?”
“Ha,” he said with a laugh.
“West Bay, huh? A big place, I assume?”
