“Kolton, but we’ll?—”
“Then I’ll buy the whole fucking country club,” I retort. “Stop arguing and finish up. I’m starving for my dessert.”
She just keeps gaping at me before finally shaking her head. “Nuts, you are all nuts.”
“Maybe, but you love it.” I wink. “Let me go pay the bill because we both know that after I’ve been deep inside that cunt, I won’t even know my own name, never mind our table number.” Sliding out, I head inside, grinning widely.
I’ve never been fucking happier.
THIRTY-SEVEN
Idon’t know what has gotten into Kolton, but I love it. The confident, strong way he said he was going to fuck me for everyone to hear was hot as hell. I don’t know where the timid man went, but I like this side just as much.
Not to mention I had no thoughts about anything else but him all day.
From swimming, playing, eating, and flirting, it felt like I was on a date with a man I was starting to care for—okay, fuck, already care for. It’s dangerous, but I can’t seem to stop myself when they are involved.
I’m so lost in my own thoughts, I don’t even hear or see someone next to us until they lower gracefully into the chair opposite me. Blinking, I stare at the woman now sitting across from me in confusion.
I don’t know her, and she certainly doesn’t hang in my circle.
She wears a brown mini dress, black heels encrusted with diamonds, with more hanging from her neck and fingers, and designer shades. Her perfectly straight hair, which hangs over one shoulder, and the minimal dewy makeup on her face indicate she could be any rich housewife here.
“Yes?” I prompt with an arched brow, annoyed she interrupted my thoughts of Kolt.
“You’re Beck, right?” she asks, pulling down her shades to eye me and clearly finding me lacking.
“And you are?” I reply, glaring at her.
Smirking, she slides her sunglasses higher as she watches me. “I’m Kolton’s sister.”
My entire body goes cold.
Horror claws at my insides as I stare at the monster who ruined Kolton’s childhood and stole his innocence. “I see you’ve heard of me.” She actually fucking grins.
Just then, I hear his footsteps, and he’s talking as he stops at the table, putting his wallet away. “Okay, beautiful, all paid. How about—” He stops, and that’s when I know he’s seen her. I glance at him to see his face pale, like he’s seen a ghost.
All happiness and color drain completely from his face as he stares at her, and his body begins to shake.
“Hi, baby brother.” She grins. “Long time.”
Standing, I glare at the woman, taking Kolton’s hand and walking away. He hurries after me, but so does she, and she stops before we reach the door. Kolton is stiff at my side, his eyes far away like he’s locked in his memories.
“I wasn’t finished with you two. I didn’t buy my way in here for nothing.” She huffs and crosses her arms. “Kolton, you never come home anymore. Everyone is worried.”
The low cry that escapes his throat at her voice breaks something inside me, and I step in front of him, glaring at her. If I could kill someone with a look, she would be dead. I have never been so angry before. Every muscle in my body vibrates with the need to smack the shit out of this evil bitch. “You have two seconds to go away before I shove those diamonds where the sun doesn’t shine.”
She rolls her eyes. “I see you’re associating with trash now. Are you really that desperate, baby brother, or do you just like the attention?” He shudders as she speaks, losing himself with every word. “This little rebellion ends now. Mom and Dad say it’s time to come home.” She looks at me then. “And leave your trashy girlfriend and friends behind.”
“Last warning,” I tell her, stepping closer, hating the agony I can feel wafting from him.
All his nightmares are coming back, and the pain and sorrow I heard in his voice when he told me what happened has been exposed, ripped from him, and tossed on this freshly lacquered marble floor because of this cunt.
She eyes us and decides to switch her tactics since it’s not working.
“He always was pretty,” Kolton’s sister comments, making me feel sick as she smirks, knowing exactly what she’s doing. “He only got more handsome. He’s great in bed too, right? He’s the biggest I’ve ever had.”
Kolton gags, and I step closer still, protecting him.
