“Let me help you out.”
She smiled as she trailed her fingers from her chest. Lower and lower until they were where she needed them. Jackson followed every movement with what looked like increasing concern.
“Layla,” he growled again. “What sort of present is this if you’re taking all the fun away?”
“There’s nothing wrong with a little delayed gratification,” she answered, then threw her head back. “Stay there, Jax. Stay there and watch me.”
He did.
She was very surprised by that. He stood on the spot, watching everything, heart racing and twitching. And every second she denied him, his need to be the one to satisfy her increased until all she sensed from him was his lust.
“Let me taste you, Layla.”
Her toes curled and she almost gave in. But she had to push him to his limits. She couldn’t afford not to.
With one final stroke, she pushed herself over the edge right in front of him. Jax was as breathless as she was like he was the one who’d just cum. His eyes were hooded, his gaze was still on her fingers when she brought them to her lips. And when she tasted herself and moaned, she felt the moment the air shifted. She felt the moment he gave in to his beast.
Jackson was on his knees with his face between her legs before she could say another word. His tongue... her eyes rolled into the back of her head as he did with his tongue what she would never be able to do with her fingers. His claws had lengthened; she could feel them digging into her as he held her down. Seconds later, she gripped his hair to hold him down as she fell off the cliff.
She was still screaming his name when he rose above her and filled her up. Wave after glorious wave as he thrust into her, uninhibited, untamed. He made her cum in every position.
When he tensed and roared out her name, she brought his mouth to her neck and left it all to fate.
Jax was still pulsing inside her when she felt that first sting of pain at the base of her neck as he sunk his teeth into her. As he marked her.
All of her thoughts disappeared. Heat more intense than anything she had ever known ripped through her body, and she felt alive for the first time in her life. Nothing else in the world mattered except what was building up in her core. Her head spun, and blood rushed through her body so quickly that it sounded like a roar in her ears. Jax felt bigger inside her, impossible as that was.
She felt him. She felt all of him as if now they were truly one. His thoughts. His fears. His deepest desires.
And then, the fire in her core spread through her whole body instantly as the mother of all orgasms ripped through her body. It was overwhelming. It took everything from her and gave nothing back. It was relentless; her body tensed so much that her muscles ached. Her heart beat fast as if it was exploding. Things she could not understand came from her lips as she kept cuming, falling, and calling his name.
And Jackson kept pulsing inside her with his teeth in her flesh and his claws holding her down on him.
And then it all suddenly stopped.
Jackson wrenched his mouth from her neck and got off her so quickly that he fell off the bed.
Her body was still twitching when she watched the expressions on his face change. Confusion. Anger. Rage.
“What the fuck have you done?” he growled, his chest rising and falling as he tried to catch his breath.
She had no strength left to respond. Her vision became blurry as her mind tried to process what she had just done.
And then there was nothing but darkness.
Chapter 74
Everything felt different.
The longer he lay on the rock, the more he sensed the differences. Everything was sharper, almost as if there had been a veil on his vision before. The stars were so clear he felt like he could touch them. The air was sweeter. The chirping of the birds as they woke up to get the worm... Beautiful. Fucking beautiful.
And the rage in his heart eclipsed it all.
He’d told her. He’d said no over and over again, even before she had known what his bite would do. And she’d gone ahead and violated his trust. Violated him.
‘She was never going to give us up without a fight,’ Cain stated.
‘Stop talking like you knew it was going to happen. This isn’t Romeo and Juliet. We don’t have to die together!’
