I’m curled into a ball on Blade’s lap, and Flame’s hand is stroking my back as he crouches next to us. I lean back slightly, and my head grazes the blond vampire’s chest as I look up into his eyes.
“N’ah,” Flame winks. “She’s okay.”
I lick my lips, my mouth and throat are so dry, I don’t think I can speak.
“Are you really okay?” Blade asks, pulling me more tightly against his chest. “I didn’t mean to hurt you. Neither of us did.”
I shake my head, and then swallow. “You didn’t hurt me.” My voice comes out in a croak. “It felt so good… I think I passed out for a moment. That was…amazing.”
I can think of no other word to describe what happened to me. I have no idea how much time has passed since the sex ended, but my body’s still trembling, pulsing as if one of them is still thrusting inside me.
Turning my head, I kiss Flame, and then reach up to kiss Blade too. The latter’s eyes widen in shock as he pulls away slightly, but then he bends to capture my lips, kissing them over and over, sometimes with tiny soft kisses, sometimes more deeply. And the kissing reawakens all my desires. Not that they’d ever slumbered.
“How about that swim?” Flame asks as Blade continues to kiss me. “Don’t know about you two, but my body’s on fire.”
Leaving our sides, Flame takes two long strides and dives into to the pool, shouting when he surfaces. “Water’s great,” he calls out. “Join me.”
I pull back from Blade’s kiss. “You never did explain why you made your pact,” I say softly.
Shaking his head, he looks down. “I’m not sure you’ll like it.”
I stroke his face, then trace my index finger over the scar on one cheekbone. “You can tell me anything.”
He smiles softly. “You know what? I believe you.”
“As you should.” I pat his cheek playfully.
He grins, then his expression turns serious as he looks into my eyes. “I was pissed off when I found out Flame had fucked you.”
I nod. “I’m still sorry about that. I wish I’d talked to you more about it.” Part of me wishes I’d been with Blade first, but I’m not sorry about having sex with Flame. How could I ever be sorry about how he made my body feel, or all the fires he lit inside me.
“Nothing to be sorry about.” Blade kisses me softly. “But Flame saw I was envious. He wanted me to get a chance to feel you orgasm around me, to see your face when…” He closes his eyes for a moment, and I feel his hardness shifting against my hip. “I’ve never seen a woman feeling pleasure. I’ve never imagined anything so beautiful. So glorious.“
My cheeks flush, my entire body joining in. “I’d like to see your face when you orgasm.”
His eyes widen. “I’d have to take you face to face.”
I lick my lips. “Is that a promise or a question?”
He draws in a ragged breath. “A promise. I hope. I plan to fuck you, in every way you want, and at every chance we get, for the rest of our lives.” His expression is beyond intense, and so sincere.
“But I’ll be leaving here soon.”
His eyes widen with alarm and he shakes his head. “No. No you won’t.”
“Blade.” I shift against him.
He reaches for a knife on the ground nearby.
I grab his arm. “Don’t cut yourself. Or me.”
“I’m so sorry I cut you.” Shame fills his eyes. “I couldn’t think. I was desperate to taste you, and using the knife seemed less…intrusive than my fangs.” He licks his lips.
“It’s okay. I didn’t mind. But I hate when I notice you hurting yourself. Why do you do it?”
He looks away.
But it’s not hard to guess, given their rules, and how I’ve seen Flame burn himself. “Does the physical pain make your emotions go away?” I ask softly,
