We kiss again, tasting each other, and a raging need builds again deep inside me.
But he breaks his lips away and then, grinning broadly, he loosens his hold on my body. I slide down the front of his, my back arching as my belly and chest graze his cock—still hard, but no longer fully rigid against his abdomen.
Feet on the floor, I lean into him, reveling in his firm and luxurious touch as his palms slide over my skin under the gently-falling, warm water.
“I’d love to do this for hours,” he says. “But I’d better go talk to Maria and Pierre.”
I tip my head back. “Who?”
“Our stewards. Maria walked in on us earlier?”
I nod, shocked that I don’t feel embarrassed that this woman saw me not only naked, but naked while engaged in sex. Reluctantly moving away from him, I turn toward the door. He smacks my damp bottom and the sound reverberates in the shower stall.
“Sorry!” he says quickly, and then reaches over my shoulders from behind. Flame cups my breasts as he pulls me back against his body. “I’m so sorry. It’s a bad habit. Smacking women’s butts.”
“Why do you do it?”
I feel him exhale deeply. “I’ve never thought about why I like it.” He shifts behind me as he strokes my breasts with his thumbs. “I suppose I like the sound. I like seeing and smelling the increased blood flow to the skin there, and the heat, like it’s creating a fire where I struck. And I enjoy fucking when the woman’s ass skin is flaming hot. But I know you don’t like—”
“It’s okay.” Turning my head so I can make eye contact, I grin. “It seems different now…now that we’ve…” Closing my eyes, I realize I thoroughly enjoyed the hot sting on my bottom. “Plus, I did give you free rein to do anything to me.”
He turns me to face him, concern breaking into the grin on his face. “Promise me one thing?”
“Anything.”
“Promise me you’ll stop me, if I ever do something you don’t like. If I go too far.”
“Absolutely.” And I love that his request implies that he wants to have sex again. Because I sure do.
Stepping out of the shower room Flame picks a plush towel off a shelf, next to two robes hanging on hooks that I didn’t notice earlier.
Flame wraps a towel over my shoulders. “I’ll have to thank Maria,” he says as he grabs another towel for himself and rubs it over his strong body.
I look up to him with questions in my eyes. “Thank her?”
“For these.” He holds up the edge of his towel. “She must have put them there while we were…”
“Oh.” I’d convinced myself that this steward, as he calls her, had just stepped into the bathroom and then backed out when she realized that Flame wasn’t alone. Now I feel reluctant to face her—ever.
“Is she still here?” I rub my long hair with the towel. “Your steward?”
“Probably,” Flame says, his tone indifferent. “Why? Oh, right! Your fancy dress with the blood stains.” He hands me a robe. “I’ll make sure Maria and Pierre take care of it.”
I put on the robe, and it’s so long that it pools against the tiled floor. I glance around for the red dress and realize that it’s vanished, along with the pile of Flame’s clothes that he left outside the shower. The steward, or stewards, must have taken those too. I can only hope that only the female was in here, but I can’t change the past.
Pulling the robe’s belt out of its loops that hit my body mid-thigh, I tuck up the robe and tie the belt around my waist. The excess fabric folds down over the middle.
“You look adorable,” he pats my bum through the thick, terry cloth fabric. “We’ll get you one that fits. Can you even walk in that?”
I laugh. “I guess we’ll find out.” Kicking the excess of fabric forward, I smile. I’ve worn gowns this long before, but they were made of silk, not this heavy terry cloth.
Flame takes my hand and we leave the bathroom, going into the barracks bedroom together.
Dressed in khaki slacks and a deep green polo shirt, a man turns from one of the beds, and smiles broadly. “Just finishing up in here. Can I get you anything?”
“Pierre.” Flame shifts his hand to my lower back and gently urges me forward. “I’d like you to meet Ana. She’s staying in the guest room.”
“Very pleased to meet you, Ana.” Pierre nods, and with more than a little bit of shock, I realize that he’s human. I expected everyone down here to be a vampire, and a million questions enter my mind.
