I roll my eyes. “Relax. It’s nothing that's going to ruin the night.”
“It better not, or I’ll kick your ass. Raven is excited, and if you upset her, you're dead.”
My eyes find my Little Mouse. Fucking hell, she looks so damn good in that pink sundress dress.
“I need you to distract the party for like an hour,” I tell Travis.
“No.” He glares at me. “Not fucking happening. Keep it in your pants, Hunter.”
“Oh, come on. You can’t tell me your cock isn’t begging to be inside her right now. Look at her.” I wave my hand over to Raven. She’s talking to Andy, the smile on her face is one I love to see. She’s laughing, so genuinely happy.
“Of course, I am. We all are, all the time. Honestly, I don’t know how our girl isn’t stuffed with a cock during all hours of the day. But Link is already delaying the party by having to shower. We are not taking more time so you can have a sex marathon.”
“You're no fucking fun... Cock blocker.” I flip him off, making his lip twitch in amusement.
“Get over it. If we have to wait, so do you.”
“I shouldn’t have to. I’m more awesome than you.” I give him a cocky grin and a smirk before making my way over to my Little Mouse.
I hate that we have to fight for this, that every passing day, the clock ticks, and we’re no closer to finding Raven’s dad. We all just want to end that motherfucker and move on without fear of him hurting her.
We all act like nothing will get to her, that we will bring the world down to protect her. And while the latter is true, we can’t promise nothing will hurt her again.
The facts are, while Black Venom Crew has power and connections all over the world, Raven’s father is far more powerful than Link wants to admit.
Link can’t fathom the idea of failure or that someone else might have more power than him. Yes, her father doesn’t always make the best business moves, and others have had the upper hand in the past at times, but he plays dirty, really fucking dirty.
We do our best not to take a life that doesn’t deserve it. Unfortunately, sometimes accidents happen. But with Tyrone, he has no ounce of humanity in him and will end any life that gets in his way without thinking twice. Innocent women and children included.
He sees himself as a god, but he’s just a monster drunk on power.
“Hey, baby girl,” I murmur in her ear as I slide my arms around her from behind, cradling her belly.
“Hi.” She smiles up at me and I kiss her hard, loving that she doesn’t care about the sounds that leave her despite her friend and our mom’s being around. A sweet whimper that has my cock aching.
“How are you feeling?”
“Good,” she breathes, her cheeks flushed. “Hungry.”
“Say no more, Little Mouse.” I kiss the tip of her nose and head over to the table of food.
Q is standing there with Andrew in his arms. I smile as he bursts into a fit of giggles, Q blowing raspberries on his belly.
“Do you think it’s possible to explode from cuteness?” I ask him as I pile different foods onto a plate.
“It’s called cuteness aggression.” Q chuckles. “And while I don’t think we can explode from it, it sure feels that way.”
“Did you ever think this would be our life?” I ask, shoving a pigs-in-a-blanket in my mouth.
“No.” He kisses the top of Andrew’s head before looking at me. “Never. I didn’t think I’d ever be blessed to have the woman of my dreams, a literal goddess, a son I love so much it hurts, and a baby on the way that I already love more than words could ever explain.”
I stare at him for a moment before nodding. “We needed you, you know. Not just Raven.”
“What do you mean?” he asks, brows furrowing.
“You’ve met us, right?” I snort. “We’re a pack of wild animals. All we know how to do is fuck, kill, and obsess over our girl. But you, you're the level-headed one and all that shit. You like, I don’t know, balance us out and stuff. Yes, Raven loves the savageness of us and how we are, but I think you give her a softness she didn’t even know she needed.”
“Oh.” He blinks a few times before clearing his throat. “Thanks.”
