“No, but I want to be clear, if you are fucking me, you are not fucking anyone else,” Logan growled low in his throat.

“You don’t get to demand that.” She pushed against his chest.

He let her go.

“Yeah, I do.” He followed.

“No.” Brooklyn shook her head.

“That was a terrible argument.” Logan tucked her into his side.

Her face lifted to his. “I wasn’t arguing, I was telling you. We had sex once—”

“Technically three times.”

“One night.” She corrected him.

“Semantics.”

Brooklyn slowed. “You are annoying.”

Logan grinned. “Walk faster. I need to fuck you. You are sexy as fuck when you’re frustrated.”

“You should rest after being unconscious,” she said as they began walking again.

“I’m a vampire. Maybe sex is the cure.”

Brooklyn snorted and Logan smiled to himself. Then a few moments later, he suddenly said, “I do like you.”

They both stopped and faced one another. He leaned down and lifted her soft, small body to hold her against him. She wrapped her arms around his neck.

“I like you quite a lot.” He rasped as his mouth closed over hers.

“I like you too,” she whispered and as their eyes locked; shimmers of emotions flowed between them and scared the fuck out of him.

A voice cleared.

“Sorry,” Sage said as he lowered Brooklyn to the ground.

Guess the cat was out of the bag now, which saved him from threatening every male under the roof.

Hi everyone. I’m fucking the little human scientist.

Unfortunately, Sage was probably the least gossipy person in the castle. He’d had to tell Piper, her sister. She’d spread word and make sure no one touched his girl.

“Oh, Sage. Is everything okay?” Brooklyn stumbled, making him smirk. Proud as hell that he was the one rattling the sexy little human.

“Yes. Do you mind coming back to look at the video? Ari had a thought,” Sage said.

Logan’s brows scrunched tightly.

Why would—

“Sure.” Brooklyn lifted her face to his. “Do you want to meet up later, or are you coming back with me?”

“I don’t understand what’s happening,” Logan replied.

But deep down, he did.
