He lifted my shirt up to see my scar and rub a hand across it, stood me up and dropped down on one knee, kissing the small scar on my side.

“I still do physical therapy; everything is fine though.”

“Lauren, I love you.”

He stood up caressing my cheek, peering into my eyes and I rose on the tip of my toes, gripping the back of his neck, claiming what’s mine. Dominic Combs was the love of my life.

“Where’s your bedroom?” I asked, pulling away.

“Are you sure about this? Well enough to be having sex?” Dominic questioned.

“I can do a lot of things, don’t worry.”

“I thought I was on punishment,” he teased, smacking me on my ass.

“Thinking about it long-term only hurts us both. After not having sex for three months and before that, it was for about a year, I couldn’t deprive myself of pleasure,” I replied, walking up the stairs admiring the photos of his family on the wall.

“So, you're using me?” he stated, hand on his chest in shock.

“Pretty much, old man,” I joked, shrugging my shoulders, removing my shirt and kicking off my shoes.

“Princess…” Dominic stalked over to slowly undo his belt buckle.

“Ahhh! I’m sorry.” I laughed when he lifted me up and put me over his shoulder and spanked me. I tried rubbing the sting and he kissed both cheeks. Dropping me on the bed I giggled undoing my pants and taking off my panties.

“Have I told you that I love you lately?” Dominic spoke and the bed dipped as he bent down hovering over my body.

“I haven’t heard a word for the past three months.”

“Let me make it up to you.”

“I love you, Dominic Shooter Combs,” I said, leaning up, entwining our lips.

Teasing my mouth open, memories of our last night together flooded my mind. Desire shot through me and I was ready to surrender to his command. A low groan left his lips. I loved when he became undone at the touch of my hand. His erection pulsed as I maneuvered his dick at my entrance. He nudged my legs wider with his knee. My pussy wept with need. I guided him inside and we both moaned at the first encounter of our bodies becoming one again.

“Damn, I missed you,” he whispered, kissing along my chest, grasping my breasts out of my bra cups. I arched off the bed, receiving every stroke as he slammed into me. Our lovemaking was slow like we normally were. We both knew we were making up for lost time. He swiveled his hips in a circular motion, pulling me tight against him.

“Yesss!”

“Baby!” Dominic cried out.

I wound my arms around his neck, thrusting upwards, nibbling his ear.

“Don’t ever leave me again,” I told him.

“Never.”

Chapter Twenty-Four

Lauren

Two months later, things were going well with Dominic, except I was throwing up constantly and I knew that I could possibly be pregnant. Was I ready to be a mother? Was he ready to be a father? We were still getting to know each other again and adding a baby in the mix that he probably wouldn’t want is something I wasn’t ready to deal with. I flushed the toilet, grabbing my toothbrush and wash towel to clean myself up.

His family was meeting us for lunch at Lynnhaven Fish House today and Emmanuel was still waiting on me outside. Dominic was meeting me at the restaurant since he needed to finish up some work. Over the past few weeks, our families had become familiar and his mom checks up on me from time to time. I even have dinner at their place on Sundays with Dominic. I told him we’d fly out to visit my family next time we both have the time off. Novah was waiting on me in the bedroom for the results. When the timer finally went off, I picked up the pregnancy stick and saw the color turned blue with two lines showing in the little window.

“Wow,” I mumbled to myself sitting back down on the toilet, covering my face in my hands. I heard a knock on the door.

“Come in,” I said.
