Two hours later, she was wearing my shirt, pouring the stir fry rice and orange chicken on our plates, and I wore only my pants. She had me laughing as she mocked me from the first time we met.
“I wasn’t that bad. You should have been paying attention.” I waved at her phone, which started vibrating. I picked it up and it showed a new message.
“Check it, I trust you,” she said. I held it up so she could unlock it, and I tapped on the messages seeing something from a number not saved.
Unknown: I know you’re with him.
Me: Who is this?
“You think it’s your ex-boyfriend?” I questioned, showing her the message.
“At this point, it could be anyone,” Lauren replied.
“Zoe wants you to get on the Raven Cosmetics social pages and make some posts. I think this is the perfect moment to post something to lure them out.”
“What should I say?”
“Ask a basic question that you normally do. Emmanuel is already tracing your phone; maybe we can track the number back when you post if someone responds oddly,” I said, handing her phone over. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket to tell Emmanuel to start pulling a trace on her calls.
“Okay, I just posted from the account.”
She handed the phone over to me, and I saw her post- Lauren A + Raven Cosmetics. The post was liked a hundred thousand times and retweeted five hundred thousand times with comments pouring in and looking over at her phone, I saw that a new message had popped up.
Unknown: Will finally meet at the launch party!
Me: Stop playing on my phone, Raymond.
“They’re getting bolder,” I said.
Her phone dinged and Zoe’s name came across the screen.
“Hey, Zoe,” Lauren said as she answered.
Lauren placed the call on speaker, taking a bite of her food. She came around and sat next to me. I kissed the side of her cheek.
“Hello, Queen, how are you feeling?” Zoe questioned over the phone.
“I’m good here, hanging with Dominic.” I winked, she leaned over, kissing my lips.
“Hey, Zoe.”
“Glad she’s in good hands. I saw your post, and your numbers are running through the roof. Keep it up, and don’t let what happened earlier get you down. I’ve been there with being betrayed by an ex. I’m sending the details of the party to you right now. I have a few hashtags you should use and if you’re comfortable with a quick video, I think that would be a good idea as well,” Zoe commented.
“Sounds good.”
“Danielle was able to get them taken down,” Zoe stated.
“Thanks, I never knew he recorded us. I was shocked he’d stoop that low and sell me out like that,” Lauren replied.
“You remember when it happened?” I questioned, grabbing a piece of paper to take notes. She nodded and continued talking.
“It was for his birthday. I didn’t know he was recording, but I remember he was really pushing for me to take naked photos for his birthday, and I said I only do swimsuit photos.”
“Sounds like a prick, reminds me of my ex, Timothy,” Zoe said.
We laughed at her response.
“Hey, Zoe, send me the information about the party. I’ll have Emmanuel do a sweep first. Make sure Danielle knows,” I requested.
