“I guess I’m not leaving anytime soon,” I said as he got out of the bed and walked to his bathroom.

“Nope. No running out before morning either with a note,” Kamden commented.

“I felt it was thoughtful,” I said.

I heard the shower turn on and the door open, and he came over to lift me up in his arms bridal style and carried me to the bathroom. He gently placed me in the warm bubble bath, and I almost fell into a deep sleep from how wonderful it felt.

“I know you don’t want your hair to get wet, so let me wrap it up in this towel for you,” Kamden said, and I leaned forward. It was a sweet gesture, and I pondered if he did this for other women before.

“Are you getting inside?” I questioned.

“You want me to? I was trying to let you relax. I can’t promise to have restraint in the tub.”

“I’m okay with that.” I grabbed the hand towel and squeezed the lavender body wash in the towel to wash my legs one by one. Kamden motioned for me to lean up, and he got behind me with my back to his chest.

“What are you thinking about?” I asked.

“The race and tonight’s events,” she said, running the towel up my left, then right arm.

I grabbed the towel out of her hand and washed her back.

“You did amazing today. I wanted to kiss you right after the finish line but knew it would be a media circus.”

“Your girlfriend would’ve been pissed,” she said.

I dropped the towel and massaged her back.

“Josie’s not my girlfriend. You know better than anyone that I don’t do the girlfriend relationship thing. I like being single. I’m still young, baby,” I commented.

“Same,” I heard her mumble slowly.

“Let’s go to bed. I know you’re still sore,” I teased, watching her stand and grab the towel off the rack to dry off.

“The next race is for the charity event,” Ari explained, walking in the bedroom, and I grabbed the body lotion off the counter and a towel. I followed behind her to the bedroom, squirting a small amount in my hand, and reached for her to prop her leg up on the chair in the corner.

“You ready for the race?” I questioned.

“Yeah, so get ready for round two.” Ari watched me rub lotion on her arms.

“All right, racer, time for bed. It’s past midnight, and I know you have work in the morning, and I have a hospital visit for charity tomorrow.”

“What are you doing at the hospital?” she asked.

“I donated to the children’s hospital for cancer research. They’re doing the bow cutting for a new wing,” I explained.

“Cocky, sexy, funny with a heart for kids.”

“Is that what you think of me?” I questioned her, opening the drawer and pulling a pair of boxers out.

She pulled the covers back and lay down, getting comfortable on the right side of the bed.

“You sleep nude?” I asked.

“Yep, is that a problem?”
