“You already know the answer to that one,” Kash said.
“Was it hard learning all this stuff, Tennessee?” Essence questioned as she ran a hand up his chest. I lifted my left eyebrow and watched these two flirt constantly, but I didn’t think they were serious.
“Nope, you should let me teach you how to ride,” Tennessee said, flirting back with Essence.
“Okay, you two. Cool off please. Tennessee, can I get a lap in as well?” I asked.
“You sure, Arianna?” Tennessee questioned.
“Yep, I won’t be driving fast. I just want to get behind the wheel to keep my skills fresh,” I said.
Kash and Tennessee walked off, and I watched as they got into his car together to take a spin around the track. I would wait and go after him since this wasn’t my normal track to drive at, but Colton was okay with me hanging around when I needed to get in practice.
“How did Kash get started in driving?” Essence asked me.
“He used to get in trouble with stealing cars and hanging with bad crowds.”
“His mom got him into Corporate Care and hanging with the kids at the house. I met him right after,” Colton said.
“Maybe I need to learn how to race so I can meet a man,” Essence commented.
All of us laughed at her outburst and watched as Kash drove off to do a lap around the track. An hour later, I was in the car, preparing to pull in next to the pit.
“How did she feel?” Tennessee asked me.
“The cones helped, but I want to work on doing slingshots,” I said.
“I think before you fully show and can’t drive anymore, we can make this happen,” Tennessee said. I nodded in response, getting out of the car and walking toward Kash and Rylee.
“What do you think, Colton?” I asked, motioning toward the car.
“You’re good, Arianna, never doubt that. This sport needs you, and I’m proud to call you a friend,” Colton said.
“So that means I can go up against you next time?” I asked.
“Keep working on your groove, and we’ll see what happens,” Colton said.
Kash stood behind me, hugging me to his chest, and we talked with everyone before it got too late, then headed over to my family’s house to have dinner.
My niece Madison ran around the table as Eddison Jr. chased after her. I laughed at her trying to hide under my dad to avoid getting caught.
“You’re going to have to deal with this once you have your baby, Arianna,” Mom said.
“Are you excited for another grandbaby?” I asked.
“I already have plans to add another room in the house,” Mom said.
“This place is going to turn into a nursery,” I said.
“Kamden, how are you feeling about the pregnancy?” Dad asked.
“At first, I was shocked, but I’m happy about becoming a father,” Kash replied.
“I like to hear that,” Dad said.
“What’s up, family?” Malik asked as he walked inside, kissed, and hugged my niece and nephew, and Mom. He shook hands with Dad and brother. Gabriella was in the kitchen finishing up the catfish and baked potatoes. It was a huge spread laid out for us to enjoy. I rubbed the back of Kash’s head, while his hand caressed my thigh.
“Hey, Uncle Malik!” Madison said.
