“I promise, baby. I just wanted a hug,” I answered, holding my hands out wide.
“Hmmmm… I see that little smirk on your face,” Arianna said as she grabbed the towel to wash my chest. I kissed her forehead and cheek as we washed each other up. An hour later, I was leaving her place with the same clothes I came in last night. I ran to my house to get changed and finally made it to the track to get some time in for practice. I parked my car, heading inside, and noticed Tennessee standing off to the side of the garage.
“What are you doing?” I asked. He motioned for me to be quiet, and I leaned further over his shoulder and saw what he was watching. Josie and Ronald were arguing back and forth.
“What’s up with that?” I whispered.
“I don’t know. I just got here a few minutes before you and heard loud arguing,” Tennessee said.
“She’s his problem now,” I said.
“Good, but I have a bad feeling about them after he got in her face more, and then she set up that paparazzi photo here,” Tennessee said before he turned to head back inside.
“Don’t stress yourself out. How’s everything looking for practice?” I asked.
“Good. I haven’t seen any issues since the last ride.”
“Cool. I’m doing a few laps today.”
“What’s up with Arianna’s friend?” Tennessee asked.
“Who?”
“Essence,” Tennessee said and smiled.
“Honestly, I have no clue. Every time I see her, she’s by herself.”
“Tell Arianna to put in a good word for me,” Tennessee said.
“I’m not getting involved with that, man. They call me a playboy and cocky. Your ass is the biggest hoe around the track,” I joked, and Tennessee flipped me off.
“So, you’re a reformed hoe now?” Tennessee questioned.
“Something like that.” I took my jacket off and placed it on top of the work bench.
“What, are you and Arianna in a relationship?”
“I made it official earlier today,” I said.
“Wow! Kamden Kash Coleman off the market.”
“Please keep it to yourself. I saw it on the news this morning about the fight the other day. I didn’t tell Arianna,” I said.
“You should; you don’t want her out here blindsided,” Tennessee replied.
“I know, but the way she looked so content in my arms, I didn’t want to change her mood. I’m meeting her parents for dinner,” I replied.
“Really, meet the family time.”
“We had dinner with my mom, so it’s only right she introduces me to her family,” I responded.
“It’s ready to go,” Tennessee said.
“Cool. Have you seen Colton today?” I asked.
“He was up in his office doing an interview,” Tennessee said.
“I’ll talk to him later.”
