"And the rest of you?"

Have all seen her naked. And it will never happen again if I have anything to do with it.

They all shoot glances at each other, more confused than anything else, and shrug.

Coach is over it. "Work your shit out like men. Not boys. We've got work to do, and I need all of you operating at your peak levels. Am I understood?"

"Yes, Coach." We say in unison.

"Lars, Hutch, Augie, and O’Connor. You're taking their places."

"Fucking hell," Keelan says under his breath.

"You got a problem with that, Landry?"

"No, coach."

"Good."

Coach leaves us, and nobody says anything. We take off our helmets and remove our gear.

Keelan glances at me and mouths, 'What the fuck?'.

I turn to Sincaid and Hicks, scowling at them both.

"Look. It wasn't all my fault, alright," Sincaid starts. "Izzy was getting, you know...clingy and shit." He shrugs his shoulders like he needs to get a monkey off his back.

"You were fucking dating, you ass," Keelan hisses under his breath.

"Clingy, how?" asks Hicks next to him.

"You know, showing up at random practices. Wearing my jersey to games," Sincaid told him. "Shit that wives do, man."

"So you go and fuck her best friend to prove a point? You're such a dick." Keelan shoves him.

Damn. I didn't realize it was her best friend.

"I didn’t fuck her,” Sincaid says furiously. “Besides, looks like it didn't take her long to replace me," he tips his chin in my direction.

Keelan instantly bucks up to him.

I place a heavy hand on his shoulder. "Let it go, Kee."

"No, I'm not going to fucking let it go. And what the hell is all this about you two dating? You said nothing was going on between you two."

His anger turns to me, and I rub my hand down my face, knowing I just made an enormous mistake opening up my big fat mouth.

"Let's talk about this later," I tell him.

He jerks away from me and stomps towards the locker room.

Keelan hates being left out of the loop, and anything involving his sister he doesn't know about is a major curveball. But right now, I've got some explaining to do.

And this isn't the Landry I need to do it to.
