“Just go with it. Stop reading so much into things. If it becomes serious and there comes a time when you need to tell him, you will.”

“That’s the problem though, Sash. I think that time is coming.”

“Tell me you’re not catching feelings,” she says softly.

I look out of the window, watching the students walking past without a care in the world. Life is so easy for them. Everything about this is complicated and the longer I stay with him, the harder it gets.

“Isn’t he going on tour soon?” Sasha asks when I don’t respond. Not that I need to. My non-answer is all the answer she needs. She screws up the muffin wrapper and sets it on the tray next to her empty coffee cup.

“In a few weeks.”

“Without sounding like an ass, maybe get past that. I don’t want to piss you off or upset you, but while he’s gone, you don’t know what could happen.”

“Nash isn’t like that.”

“All guys are like that.”

“You have had a recent bad experience.” I shake my head. “That is where your head is at. When I say he isn’t like that, I genuinely mean it.”

“A monogamous rockstar. Okay, well, wait and see. Get past the tour, focus on what you’re doing and have fun with him until then. If things are still going strong, then tell him. So long as you keep a clear head, it’s not that big of a deal.”

“Ha,” I can’t help the incredulous laugh.

It’s a big deal. To me. And knowing the things I know about Nash now, it will be to him, too.

Ariella calls after I get off the subway and emerge in Nash’s neighbourhood. She grills me about Nash. Again. My sister thinks it’s hysterical she told him about my desire for fifteen children. I remind her, again, I was nine when I said it.

She wants to know everything. Joking about how I’m going to marry a rockstar.

“Adrestia, is Nash your one-night stand with a famous person? Oh My God. I never in a million years thought you would. And if you did, I figured it would be some math weirdo no one has ever heard of.”

“It’s not like that,” I tell her before she can go off any further.

“No? Well,” she huffs out a laugh. “I guess you’re right. No one else would bring a one-night stand to meet her family.”

“Nash is more than just a one-night stand, Ari,” I snap.

“But he is famous. So technically, it counts. Oh shit, I’m so dense. He paid for the helicopter ride, he came to dinner. Are you full on dating a rockstar, sister?”

“I don’t know?”

Ariella laughs. “You don’t know if you’re dating him or not? Jeez, Tia. Even I can see you’re dating the guy. No man would pay out that much cash for a random girl and her sister to take a helicopter ride. Nor would he put up with Dafni Kouris just for the fun of it. I’m going to class this as your one night with a famous person. Kudos to you for it continuing.”

That irritated me. I tell her goodbye before she can say anything more. I’m glad I didn’t tell her I was on my way to see Nash. Sasha is giving me enough shit about it.

Dylan is away for the weekend, so we have the place to ourselves. Nash makes me dinner and then we go to bed. We are supposed to be sleeping. He presses up against my back, groaning and pushing his hardening dick against my ass.

“You’re too fucking sexy. I can’t just go to sleep when you’re in my bed.”

And God help me, I can’t do that either. After teasing me to the edge with his fingers, he moves between my thighs and slides inside. His face stays close to mine as he watches me, while he thrusts in and out slowly. He kisses me deeply as we move together. My arms and legs wrap tightly around him, until we moan together and he cries out my name.

“The alarm will go off at four. The sun is due to rise at four thirty-six,” Nash says. He has dealt with the condom and come back to bed.

“I appreciate the precision.” I roll onto my side to look at his smiling face. He seems to think I’m making a joke, but that is a huge turn on to me.

“Think we can make it?” He asks.

“Of course.”
