Or, maybe, I should just keep my damn mouth shut and just let things happen.

I’m so confused.

* * *

I can’t remember how long I laid there in bed last night, thinking about things I really shouldn’t have been.

He clearly thinks I was sleeping, so I can’t really bring it up without it becoming weird. Now I feel weird for just laying there.

It was so hard not to make a sound, or move an inch. I planned on opening my eyes at some point, but when he abruptly stopped, I laid silent wondering what he was going to do next.

He took a shower, and went to bed.

Honestly, I can’t read him sometimes.

I check the time quickly on my phone and decide now is the time for me to get up, because if I sleep past eight, I’ll be miserable most of the day.

Jay doesn’t know it, but Mila and I are still moving forward with the surprise birthday party plans. He clearly doesn’t know how determined I am.

It might be a little difficult, now that he tormented the secret out of me, but I never told him when, or where. All he knows is that it was going to happen.

Jay’s close friends, Reggie and Dwight, have already been informed that he knows, so they’re playing as if they have no idea.

In fact—they’re the ones who suggested that we host it at their flat. They’ll invite him over for a few drinks and some game play, and he won’t have a clue.

We hope.

I quickly get up and change out of my sleepwear into something looser for the day. Another sundress. This one is bright yellow with little sunflowers dancing across the material.

It’s my favorite dress I own. I’m pretty sure Jay’s cock noticed the last time I wore it. He had to sit down, and had no idea that I noticed him cover himself with a throw pillow.

I very much enjoy teasing him.

Throwing my hair into a loose bun, I head out to the kitchen to load the espresso machine, paying close attention to the instructions so I can manage not to fuck the kitchen up. Again.

Measuring out enough for a single cup, I insert the coffee filled dish into the slot and press the button to brew. For once, it doesn’t explode or drip coffee everywhere. It turned out perfect.

I take my first sip, letting out a satisfied moan as it hits my taste buds. There is nothing like the taste of freshly brewed coffee. Jay bought me the special breakfast blend by Kateri, which is infused with a hint of dark chocolate; something I could never afford before.

Glancing toward the door, I notice Jay’s shoes are still here, so he must not be awake yet. Maybe I should wake him?

I feel like that might be a bad idea. It’s just past seven, and I don’t think he has classes until ten. He might need the sleep.

Just as I’m about to grab my phone from the counter to text Mila, I hear it go off with a text notification.

I laugh when I see Mila’s text run across the top of my screen.

She was thinking the same thing I was.

It’s game time. We have a couple days left now, and we’re almost done with the planning.

I’m going to trick Jay into thinking I’m going away for the weekend.

A girls’ trip.

I’ll be at Reggie and Dwight’s apartment, hiding in their room with at least twelve other people, waiting for the second he opens the door. Reggie said he would stand on the other side of the door to make sure Jay can’t run back out when he sees us all pour out of the bedroom.

Of course, he’s going to notice the decorations first.
