“What? Dwight! What does he know?”

“He knows you two are planning something—but I may have told him it will be hosted at Mila’s. If I were you, I’d text him an invite. He’s smarter than you think.”

“Well shit. Get on it Gwen!” Mila exclaims.

Digging out my phone, I contemplate on what to say.

Hey! Mila and I are having drinks tomorrow, figured we would make use of her pool!

Lame. Jay doesn’t even like to swim.

No fucking way. The guys want to start a new game. You know I can’t say no to Dwight.

That went smoother than I thought it would.

Oh darn. I guess we’ll just drink with each other. Who knows what shenanigans we could get into.

It takes a few minutes before he texts back, this time with a video.

Without hesitation, I open it.

“For the love of f—” I blurt out.

Mila shoots me a curious smile so I shield her away from seeing Jay’s rock hard cock taking up the entire screen.

Jay

Did she really think I would fall for that?

It’s pretty obvious—inviting me to a place I never go. I’ve known Mila for years, but I’ve only been to her flat once. She’s usually at Dwight’s, since she’s a gamer herself. I’m glad the two of them are close.

The silence in the apartment is annoying. I used to love it, but I find it hard to concentrate now. In a way, I miss Gwen.

She’s been my muse.

I walk around the living room, looking for the extra PlayStation remote I have and pack it into my laptop carrier. A full night of gaming is something I think I need.

It clears my head in a way. Giving me a chance to escape into another world for a short period of time.

Throwing everything into my backseat, I head off toward Dwight’s after making a pit-stop at the postal office.

Rounding the corner before getting to their flat, I notice Mila’s vehicle parked out front, which means she probably dropped Gwen off right after I left. I’m a little bummed out that it won’t be just the guys tonight, but she’s pretty good at keeping to herself. She’s a wicked gamer too, but she’s super fucking competitive.

Their apartment complex pisses me off. I know the code to get into the building, but it also requires someone to let you in from their apartment.

I press the button next to Dwight’s name, and without speaking, he grants me access to get into the building.

Strange.

Usually, he answers with a Star Trek quote.

I finally get up the stairs and head toward their apartment. Knocking twice, I hear Dwight holler out for me to come in.

The second I walk through the door, I gasp.

“Happy Birthday!” At least ten people jump out from behind every surface and down the hallway.
