Finally, he gave them both what they wanted. He spread her legs, holding himself at her entrance and teasing her with the head of his cock. But the moment her eyes drifted shut, he snapped, “Eyes on me, Lilith.”

Her eyes snapped open, shocked at his tone, most likely. But then he sank into her. Easing into that slick heat and stopping when she closed her eyes again.

“I’m going to stop every time,” he warned her, his arms shaking as he held himself above her. “Eyes on me, little love. That’s what I told you.”

And oh, she was so good. She kept her eyes on him as inch by white hot inch slid into her. As he worked himself deeper and deeper into her body until he bottomed out and they both groaned.

Never once did her eyes move from his. The intensity of that stare, the connection that reminded him of where he was, who he was in, it was almost too much. And then finally, finally, he was inside of her. All the way. As deep as he could go, even as he tried one last time to sink just a millimeter closer.

And she shattered.

He felt the insane grip of her pussy locking around him, the tightness of her orgasm rippling through all the muscles there even as she grabbed onto his back and moaned with a guttural sound that came from deep within her chest. He marveled at the sensation of it, riding her orgasm with her as she rocked against him until, finally, he could move.

He slid back, watching her face as her eyes widened even more. The rippling didn’t stop. Her orgasm didn’t even slow down. With every pull and draw from him, every twitch of his muscles and every movement that drew him back inside of her, he lengthened her orgasm. Then it turned into another. She chased that second orgasm almost too close to the first until he thought perhaps it might even hurt her.

He couldn’t stop. Not even if he wanted to. He pounded into her then, riding that second orgasm as she arched her back and her gaze tore away from his. They were both lost to their pleasure, finding it and burying it into the other person.

Mist rose from her skin, her power coiling around him, and he breathed it in. Dragged all that was her inside of himself as he exploded into her body. He came so hard he saw stars, his arms shaking as he tried to brace himself above her until he just collapsed.

And she wrapped herself around him. Arms, legs, all of it holding him on top of her so he couldn’t move. Not even if he wanted to.

Envy buried his face against her neck, kissing the long length of it as he tried to gain control over his breathing again. Still inside of her, still where he wanted to be above all other places in this world.

She held him a little tighter, although she still felt impressively weak.

“I love you,” she whispered. “Till the very end of days, I will love you. And even beyond that.”

“Are you certain?”

“I’ve already seen our future,” she replied. “I know that I will love you until the very end of time, Envy. In every single one of our futures, I love you. There is no changing that.”

“Good,” he replied, shifting onto his side so he didn’t crush her. “Because I’m not so sure that I am Envy anymore.”

“No?”

She didn’t sound surprised at all. In fact, it sounded like she’d already known.

Frowning, he sat up enough to look her in the eyes. “What do you know?”

“I know you are Sympathy, my love.” She brushed his hair away from his gaze, her finger combing through the long locks. “I know that I will continue to call you Envy for the rest of your life, for that is your name, but not who you are any longer. I know you have so much sympathy for your people, for our future, and for yourself. And that hope will make you a better king. And perhaps, sometimes, you will become something else when the time for hope is over.”

“What will I become then?”

“Oh, that’s so far in the future, even I could not guess. There are too many choices between now and then.” She drew him down again to kiss his lips over and over. But then she whispered, “I do hope it might be Desire, though. That sounds like fun.”

“Does it now?” He rolled her on top of him, pushing her up so he could look at all her beauty perched before him. “Who says we cannot start that now?”

She grinned down at him, already rocking where he was still deep inside of her, and he knew his life would never be the same.

It would be so much better.

EPILOGUE

The sands were so hot; she was glad that she wore shoes. But she had to be here. There were important words to be said, and the oracle inside of her had wanted to come here. So here she was. Standing beneath a small parasol with her feet burning and already angry at Sloth for being late.

“Where is he?” she muttered, not for the first time. Lilith leaned beyond the parasol to glare somewhat in the vicinity of the sun before ducking back underneath it.

“Summoning the demon king of Sloth is always a lesson in patience,” Envy replied with a chuckle.
