"Way to make this sound like we're horny teens." Dee closed the gap between their bodies, capturing Clarissa's lips with hers, finally satiating her straying thoughts. Unlike their first kiss, this one was wild and searing hot, laced with urgency and desire.
When Clarissa pulled back to breathe, her voice was even more husky. "Well, we're not teens but I can't refute the other part."
Dee didn't need telling to know what Clarissa was feeling, she could feel the heat from where their bodies were pressed together. She slipped her hands under Clarissa's shirt and ran them up the redhead's back, causing her to tremble.
"Good shivers or bad shivers?" Dee whispered while she kissed Clarissa's neck.
"Good shivers," Clarissa murmured, her head tipped back. "Really good. Don't stop."
Dee hadn't been planning on stopping and she definitely wasn't going to now. She grazed her teeth over Clarissa's skin, up to her earlobe and back down her neck. She wanted to kiss even lower but the shirt was in the way.
Understanding glinted in Clarissa's eyes and she reached down to pull her shirt off. Dee only got a teasing glimpse of what was underneath when a creak sounded through the flat. Lightning fast, Clarissa dropped her shirt and jolted off of Dee's lap, her gaze fixating on her dad's bedroom door.
Dee held her breath, begging and praying that Mr Foster wasn't going to come stumbling into the living room. Even the dogs perked their heads up.
They waited for half a minute before relief settled back over them.
"My heart is racing," Clarissa whispered, looking a mixture of shocked and amused.
"If you want, I can make it go even faster," Dee said confidently.
A little laugh slipped from Clarissa's mouth. "Is that a challenge?"
"A promise."
The twinkle reappeared in Clarissa's eyes and she held out her hand. "Why don't I show you my bedroom then?"
Dee didn't hesitate a second to take the hand offered to her. The two dogs looked up curiously but neither of them moved, far too happy to be near the radiator. Or maybe they could sense they weren't invited anyway.
On the way to the bedroom, Dee caught a glint of the crescent moon through a window and was briefly reminded that tonight was all about finding fated mates. She knew what she was doing was insensible but she couldn't stop herself. Her whole body was humming and singing from the shallow touches they'd shared and she wanted so much more.
SIXTEEN
Clarissa
Clarissa's bed creaked as she sank down on it with Dee hovering above her. She still couldn't quite believe that this was happening, that she had the Dee Lewis in her bedroom, kissing her greedily like she would die if their lips were apart for too long.
Her teenage self would've been over the moon. Her current self was pleased with the development too, although there was a small worry about what the morning would bring. But with every kiss, Clarissa's ability to care melted away and she sank more and more into the mattress.
She reached up to finally free herself from her shirt, pleased when it stopped the other woman in her tracks.
"You have a nipple ring," Dee rumbled, her voice low and husky.
Clarissa bit her lip, nodding. "I do."
"That's unexpected. Did it hurt?"
"Not much, just a sharp sting." She held back a moan when Dee brushed her fingers over the metal hoop and the hardening nipple underneath.
"Does it hurt now?" Dee whispered, looking absolutely mesmerised. She was still drawing little circles, clearly enjoying the piercing.
Clarissa sighed, shivering from the attention. "No, it feels nice when you touch me."
"Can I kiss it?"
"Please." Clarissa didn't know when she'd started to sound so desperate but she could hear it in her tone of voice. She hadn't expected for it to feel so good so soon but her whole body was on fire, begging to be touched.
Dee placed her mouth over her nipple, sucking gently. Her tongue played with the ring, creating sparks of desire in Clarissa's lower belly. She gasped when she felt Dee's hand brush over her right hip where her shifter mark sat. It was sensitive to the touch, which was slightly unexpected, but Clarissa didn't have time to question it because Dee moved her leg.
