Louis frowned. "Why?"

"Because I thought you were behaving strangely around me? I guess I wanted to see if it was true?" Sam muttered. He pointed at his black eye. "I was right though."

"I was trying not to show it."

"You were pretty passive aggressive, man," Noel quipped in from behind the sink.

"Sorry," Louis mumbled, regret replacing the bitterness and jealousy he'd been holding onto for the past few months.

"Yeah, me too. I should've just asked you about it," Sam admitted, holding his hand out to his friend. "We good?"

For a brief moment, Louis hesitated. Would his friend really forgive him that easily?

"Dude, shake my hand," Sam teased, hitting his friend lightly.

With a grin, Louis pulled his mate into a hug, completely omitting the handshake.

"Yeah, we’re good."

"Well, this has clearly nothing to do with me," Mary quipped in, grabbing her coat. "Guess I'll see you two around. Noel, thank you for the food. It was lovely."

Louis hastily scrambled towards Mary. "Wait, don't go."

She pulled up an eyebrow. "What?"

"I'm sorry you got dragged into this mess. I'm sorry. But I really do like you."

"You do?" she asked, surprise clear in her voice. From the way they'd been going, she'd assumed he wasn't all that into her after all.

"Yes. I know we had a bit of a rocky start, and I know I wasn't the nicest I could've been, but you've definitely caught my interest."

Mary narrowed her eyes, studying the dark-haired guy in front of her.

"What about me doing Sam?" she asked carefully, not sure what was happening.

"Sam didn't lie. We really do share. I mean, only if the girls are okay with it. Well, not girls, in this case, you. Just you," he rambled, his cheeks heating up.

"Really?"

"Yes, really. So if you want to see us both, you can."

Mary narrowed her eyes, a whole list of possibilities rolling through her head. "What if I wanted Noel as well?" she asked, wondering how far she could push this sharing thing.

Noel dug his hands deep into the hot water in the sink, his cheeks colouring red. He hoped, hoped, hoped, Mary didn't see the reaction he had to her suggestion. Even if she was kidding.

Louis and Sam exchanged a glance.

"I guess that would be okay? As long as he is. And we're all honest about it?"

Mary frowned. "Really?"

"Yeah... We're a squad. We share everything."

"What about the fourth member, Nico?" Mary asked, a little baffled. How did they go from hitting each other in the face to happily sharing the same woman? Guys... She would never understand them.

"If you want Nico as well, sure." Sam shrugged, stretching his arms to release the tension. "I'm going to check my eye. I really got a job interview tomorrow and I still need to prepare," he added casually, surprisingly so for just being punched by his best friend. "Mary, maybe we'll meet in a bathroom again," he grinned, the bag of carrots ruining the smoothness of his wink.

"Okay... So..." she trailed off, glancing from Noel to Louis. This certainly wasn't how she expected this date to go. She hadn't planned on having sex with a stranger in the bathroom, or for her date to be okay with it. Well, he wasn't at first, but now he seemed back to not caring. How unusual.
