Chapter 6: Twirl My Spaghetti

Mary shifted her eyes uncomfortably from Sam to Louis. Even though he had been adamant about the two of them sharing, she probably should've asked Louis about it. After all, she was on a date with him. Not Sam. But she had just been so overcome with lust, with want. And he was just far too irresistible. Still, that didn't help the guilt curling up in her stomach.

Maybe she should've invited Louis into the bathroom instead.

Ehh, what was done was done. She couldn't exactly take her quickie back. Not that she wanted to. It had been far too long and Sam had hit the right spot. Literally.

That being said, perhaps she should've declined Louis invitation to join the three of them for dinner. In his house. Where they all lived together.

Mary twirled the last of her spaghetti around her fork. Then again. The pasta was to die for. She'd brave a whole other lot of uncomfortable for this meat sauce.

"Dude, that was amazing," Louis grinned, patting his stomach. He pushed his empty plate away and Mary wondered how he managed to scarf down three heaping plates. That was certainly unexpected.

"It's my turn for the dishes, right?" Noel asked, collecting everyone's forks and spoons.

Mary gratefully handed him her empty plate. Noel hadn't said much and he seemed rather shy, but he was sweet and polite. That much was certain.

Next to her, Louis nudged Sam under the table.

"Hey man, listen... I need a condom," he whispered under his breath, hoping to whisk Mary off to a more private environment where his friends couldn't leer at her.

Sam clacked his tongue. "I'm out, sorry dude."

Louis tilted his head, studying his friend. That was unusual. Sam always carried protection in his wallet.

"You're out? How did that..." He glanced from the guilty look on his friend's face at Mary who was doing her very best not to stare at Sam. "... Happen?"

It took a moment for everything to fall in place, but when it did, anger curled around his stomach.

"You didn't," he scowled.

"Listen..."

With his whole weight behind it, Louis aimed his fist at Sam's face. With a loud smack, he made contact with his friend's eye.

"What the hell man!" Sam exclaimed, cowering in pain as he held his face.

"You asshole," Louis hissed, flexing his hand from the impact. Damn, that hurt.

"What's going on here?" Noel interfered, dropping the plates in the sink so he could keep his two mates separated.

"He got it on with my date!"

Sam winced as he shot an apologetic look at Mary.

"Wait... I thought you two were okay with sharing," she interrupted, refraining from touching Louis' arm. He already seemed livid and she didn't want to set him off.

"We are," Sam muttered, gingerly touching the rapidly swelling socket of his eye.

"Are we?" Louis retaliated, curling his hand in a fist again.

With a grunt, the tallest of the two yanked the freezer open and pressed a half-open bag of frozen carrots against his face.

"Not cool, man. I've got a job interview tomorrow," Sam moaned, the coldness of the vegetables nice against his skin.

"When did you even get it on?" Louis questioned, glaring at the two of them.

"He followed me into the bathroom... But I thought you were okay with it," Mary muttered, her cheeks burning up.
