She turned to me, and I swear to fuck my woman glared.

This fierce side of her grew stronger after my son’s birth, so I knew motherhood caused it, but she was almost fucking scary.

“Dexter Lanford. Get your ass over here. Now.”

“Babe,” I choked again, clearing my throat.

“You are the grim reaper. You’ve reaped dark souls. There’s no way a two-year-old child’s bowel movement is going to harm you.”

She was right. I couldn’t pussy out on this.

I squared my shoulders back and marched toward my son. All my good intentions vanished when he lifted his hand covered in poo and reached for me. Even my fucking Reaper receded. I felt him cower and hide. For fuck’s sake.

It was just a little poop. Right?

I could power through this. Game fucking on.

Chancing a glance at my woman, the love of my life, and my son’s mother, I experienced true terror when I caught herexpression. My dick almost shriveled. Did I ever need sex again? Not sure.

“Daddy.”

My chin dropped, and I saw total adoration in my son’s gray eyes, which were the same shade as mine. Fuck yeah. I’d have ten more like him, even with all the stinky poo and blowouts.

Plastering a wide grin on my face, I scooped him up, ran to the bathroom, and walked into the shower, fully clothed. If I thought Trish could dress fast, it was nothing compared to how quickly I stripped myself and Creed down to nothing. Our naked asses were out there for my woman to see as I finally started the shower.

Creed loved to take baths or showers with Daddy. We had this perfected. I washed him first, then moved onto my body, thoroughly cleansing us both from any remaining poo.

“Daddy? What’s this?”

He poked my fucking dick.

I jolted. Blinking, I lowered to his level, squatting so we could see one another eye to eye. “That’s my penis, son. You have one, too. Remember?”

His eyes widened like he had forgotten, and I reminded him. Little fingers reached for his penis and tugged on it. “I’m like daddy.”

“You’re my boy,” I agreed. Someday, the ladies would love him. He got his father’s DNA in that department.

“Dex,” Trish laughed. “He’s still tugging on it.”

“Well, he’s curious.” I dropped a kiss on top of Creed’s wet hair. “This boy is all mine.”

She snorted. “Don’t I know it.”

“My belly is rumbly,” Creed announced, already forgetting about his appendage and focusing on his mother.

“Dry off with Daddy, and we’ll go for a snack.”

I helped Creed towel off and handed him over to Trish. She carried him from the bathroom, heading into his room for clean clothes and a diaper. My kid had zero interest in potty training. He’d sit in his own stink before he’d plop down on a kid’s potty. We bought him one, and he shook his head, refusing to try. It stared back at me as I dressed, gloating as it glistened bright white, unused.

I flipped it off before joining Trish and Creed.

Chapter 4 Trish

“Don’t forget Faith is flying in today,” I reminded Dex. “I need you to pick her and Jessa up.”

My sister lived in Ohio. She left Nevada long before the drama with our father and my stepbrother Moby could harm her. Faith met and married a Marine. They had Jessa one year after they married. Everything about her life was perfect, from her beautiful home to her amazing husband and her precious daughter.

I wasn’t jealous of her life, but I had been envious in the past. Those were dark days. The months after Moby beat me, and I miscarried Grim’s baby. A time when I thought we’d never find our way back to one another. The war with the Bloody Scorpions MC and Razr had taken a toll on our relationship. Just when I thought I lost him forever, fate gave us one last chance.
