I could be pregnant, I think and I can’t stop myself from smiling. He helps me to my feet, kissing me lightly.
“Time to finish our meal,” he says, squeezing my ass roughly. “And you will feel my cum leaking from your pussy while you eat. That’s an order.”

Matteo
One week later…
My wife swims in the azure blue sea as I glance at her from my sun lounger on the golden sands. She looks perfectly at ease, waving at me from the water. I’m waving back over the top of my book when the phone beside me vibrates, a harsh reminder of the reality waiting for me back in New York.
“Alex,” I say down the line. “This better be important.”
“You said to call if I found her dad,” Alex says.
“Where is he?”
“Been hanging out with Petrovitch’s men. You want my opinion, he’s up to something.”
“Son of a bitch. I told him to stay out of the city if he wanted to live.” I sit up as Emma smiles at me, giving her a wave. I think of the man I tossed over the cliff edge. “This is what happens when you give people second chances. They take advantage.”
“Want me to kill him?”
“No, I’ll deal with him myself. Arrange the jet for tomorrow. We’re coming back to New York to sort this out.”
He pauses, and I can almost hear the cogs turning in his head. “How are things on your end?” he probes, his tone shifting. “You sound different. More relaxed. Maybe she's having a good influence on you,” I can practically see his knowing smirk through the phone.
A silence stretches between us. “I've been thinking,” I say eventually, the words feeling foreign.
“About the deal?” he replies, misunderstanding me. “Relax, he’ll never crack that code.” He doesn’t sound as certain as I’d like. Something hits me. Is he afraid of me? Is everyone afraid of me?
I need the truth out of people but if even my second in command is afraid of me, there’s a chance he’s telling me what I want to hear instead of the truth. “Think for a moment,” I say. “We said he could never get into the vault. Could he crack the code?”
Alex's surprise is palpable. “It’s possible,” he says eventually. “But relax, he’ll never do it in time.”
“He better not or we’re all fucked. Listen, I want you to do something with our blueprints.”
“What’s that?”
“Dig out the old archive stuff. There used to be a park overlooking the river. Hannigan’s Park, it was called. I want you to wipe the building where it stood. It’s going to be a park again. Two acres.”
“You sure? That’s fifty million out of the profit easy, maybe more.”
“Make it happen.”
Emma emerges from the sea, the sun highlighting her figure in a way that makes my heart skip a beat. As she walks towards me, every worry about control, power, and vulnerability fades, leaving behind the burning need for her.
“I better go,” I say down the line. “Just keep an eye on Mark. I’ll speak to him when I get back. Find out what the fuck he’s up to.”
The bright sun makes her shine like an angel as she approaches, water droplets glistening on her skin. Her smile, wide and unguarded, reaches her eyes, sparking an answering warmth in my chest. For a moment, the world narrows to the space between us, filled with an electric charge. I can’t help but stare at her body.
“Enjoying the view?” she teases, her voice playful as she reaches me and sits on the edge of her sun lounger.
I wrap a towel around her shoulders. “Immensely,” I reply, my gaze lingering on her. The ease between us is natural, effortless, as if we've always been in each other's orbits. I kiss the side of her neck.
“Wait until I’ve recovered from the swim,” she says with a grin. “You’re insatiable. Every day for a week. I’m surprised I can still walk.”
“You make me this way. Looking that damn good all the time.”
