Caden crawled up the length of her outstretched body to join them at the top of the bed. He trailed kisses along her thigh, up her stomach and a single kiss for each of her nipples and finally ended with one on her lips. She could taste her juices. It was erotic and nothing she would have done before Reece and Caden.
Her nerves settled into a rhythmic hum of satisfaction. They made her feel something she’d never felt before—safe and cherished. Reece with his gentle kisses and Caden’s sweet administrations, with them this near there was nothing that could touch her.
She cupped first Reece’s face then Caden’s. “Your fingers, your touch, your lips… everything you do to me makes my heart start and stop until I don’t know anything but your touches.”
“You have the voice of an angel.” Reece drew her into his embrace and planted his lips on hers. He stroked his tongue along the seam and she willingly opened. He pushed forward, devouring her with each slow pass of his tongue.
“And you taste like one too.” He pulled back with a wicked glint in his eyes.
“Agreed.” Caden pushed up off the bed. “We’ll be landing soon, but don’t think for a second that this is the end.” He gave her a wink then strode across the small room and scooped up their clothing. “As much as we’d like to keep you naked, I’d kill anyone else that laid eyes on your beautiful body.”
Reece stood and offered her a hand. He helped her up and she started the ritual of redressing, amazed at their versatile talents.
Because of their wicked Recon training she’d managed to escape a burning house, outrun trigger-happy bastardos and all without her getting a single scratch. To top off the evening, Reece and Caden had thoroughly seduced her until every fiber in her body relaxed under their attention.
A muffled blast of a cellphone ringing filled the small room, cutting into their comfortable silence.
Reece slipped his hand into his pocket and answered his ringtone. “Sterling.”
A deep voice carried over the speakerphone. One she recognized from earlier. Dane, if she recalled. Her mind was still hazy from the day’s events and no way she had it all together after that mind-blowing release.
“Hey man, just got off the phone with the sheriff. Said he called you already.”
“Right. Got anything else?”
“It’s not good, man. This shit is fucked up. Royally.”
“What do you have?”
“Bullet casings.”
“Fingerprints?”
“Negative. The casings found at Abigail’s had markings on them. Markings I’ve run across in only one place. South of the border about six months ago. This shit just got a lot deeper.”
“How deep are we talking?”
“Mexican fucking cartel deep. How the hell did your woman get caught up in this shit?”
She processed the information but faltered at how Dane referred to her as theirs. Reality settled over her. If she did this, for however long it lasted, her relationship with two men would be known. By all accounts, that should worry her, but she couldn’t summon the nervous feeling from earlier.
Tension knotted in her stomach as she watched Reece’s expression fade into his normal cool and calm, no hint of any emotion to speak of. Was it her imagination or was he pulling away from her and so quickly after their time together, or was it just how he operated?
She dipped her head to hide the hurt and focused on the new information.
She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and bit the inside of her lip. Dane’s words stunned the hell out of her. She needed to focus on that. She hadn’t been to her native country since childhood. And there was no way she’d run in that kind of circle on either side of the border.
The grim lines from earlier returned and marred both men’s expressions. Full-fledged warriors flanked her now and they were pissed. Thank God that anger wasn’t aimed at her.
Caden crossed his arms, his head lowered as he took in the new information.
“Anything on the partial plate I caught?” she asked, her eyes trained on the phone.
Dane didn’t miss a beat. “No, ma’am. Not yet anyway. It might be a longshot since the van and the tags were probably stolen.”
She nodded even though she knew he couldn’t see her. “Gracias, Dane.”
“You’re welcome, Abigail. Reece, Caden, I’ll keep my ear to the ground. I have a couple of contacts in Mexico I can call.”
