Or was it just the echo of my orgasm that had him gasp and roar with me?
Judging by the rigid tension still gripping his body, he didn’t come. And other than the thin layer of lubrication from his agile members, nothing else was on my hand.
His feelers didn’t withdraw from me. On the contrary, those I’d released from my grip tried to force their way in again.
“All of them, woman,” Rha rasped, his voice dry and tortured from desperation. “I need them all inside you.”
Chapter Twenty-Four
RHA
Need.
Want.
Urge.
Pain.
Mind-blinding pleasure.
Sensations I’d never known before racked me. Emotions slammed into me like punches.
The best ones, of course, came through my tendrils from Dawn.
The worst ones were all of my own making.
She took my face in her hands, forcing me to look at her. Her mismatched eyes held mine.
“Do you have to come from all of them at once?” she asked. “Is that what you need?”
“Need…” I echoed.
The word resonated through my brain, booming like an explosion.
Jagged red welts marred her delicate skin on the side of her neck. The parallel scratches unmistakably came from my fangs. Her dress fell from her shoulders in ragged strips, shredded by my hands and from the chafing against the rough rock wall against which I’d rutted into her. Her necklace was on the ground.
What had I done to my treasure?
What was I still going to do?
I was destroying her—the most important person in my life.
Pressing her to me, I headed to my bedroom. The feelers of my mating cluster snapped around her thighs, anchoring her to me.
“Where are you going?” she asked.
I couldn’t release her anymore, couldn’t let her run to safety. But I could at least try to make her more comfortable.
Need choked me, seizing my throat.
“Bed,” was all I could say.
I stumbled across the bridge over the stream. Kicking the doors to my bedroom open, I made it across the room before depositing Dawn onto the bed as gently as I could manage.
Her pleasure had alleviated my pain somewhat, enough to make it here, but tension was gripping my limbs like iron. Pressure pulsed low in my belly, crippling to the point I could barely walk.
My hands shook as I reached for the only person who could make it better. Gripping her hips, I flipped her over on her stomach and hiked up the remnants of her torn skirt.
