When they were both breathless, he slowed his movements, but maintained his grip on her hips. He moved her against him, grinding her deeper on to him. He was hitting her just so, causing her fingers to dig into his chest as she threw her head back and moved rhythmically against him. She felt Kenny tense inside of her as she completely let go, exploding around him. He let out a moan as he gripped her tighter before letting her go as she fell on top of him in a breathless heap.

She cradled her head under his neck as their breathing slowed. She ran her fingers across his chest and smiled to herself. How was that even better than the first time? Kenny kissed the top of her head and sighed.

“I could definitely get used to this,” he whispered.

“Mmm.”

“If you’ll let me, of course.”

She lifted her head and looked at him. He looked a little sad.

“I’m so sorry for everything, Cleo.” He shook his head.

“It’s okay. I know you are.” She looked at him intently. She knew this was eating away at him, but she didn’t want it to.

“I’m not going to leave you again.” He traced her face with his fingertip.

“I know,” she said. And she did. She knew he was it for her, and that he felt the same about her.

“Does this mean you’re staying in Boston?” he asked.

“I’m staying,” she said.

He leaned in and kissed her.

Chapter 30

Cleo

Kenny gave Cleo a kiss on the cheek before getting out of the car and walking to her side to open the door for her. Before she got out, she looked up and smiled at him. She still couldn’t get over how good-looking he was, especially when in a suit. His deep brown eyes filled her with a pool of warmth. He reached his hand out and helped her out of the car. He guided her inside the large glass doors of the building.

They waited for the elevator to reach the lobby floor and Kenny tapped his foot quickly, creating a rhythm against the marble floors.

“Sorry we’re late,” said Cleo, squeezing his hand.

“No biggie. It was worth it.” Kenny winked at her and she felt herself blush.

They seemed to be late for everything these days. It was hard for them to leave home. A home that was now collectively theirs since he had asked her to move in with him a few weeks ago. It had taken her by surprise because they’d only been together for five months, but when he brought her coffee in that morning, there was a key on the saucer next to the mug. He had looked at her nervously, but she gave him a resounding yes without him even asking the question. He almost spilled the coffee when she pulled him into bed excitedly.

It was perfect timing. She was coming up on the lease ending at her house, and Nico had been looking for his own place for some time. He was happy for them. They weren’t the only ones moving. Justin had just moved back to the city, much to Kenny’s excitement. That’s why they were here at this brand-new building of luxury condos. Justin was having his housewarming party.

The elevator dinged and the doors opened. They were greeted warmly by the doorman.

“Floor?” he asked, his finger hovering over the buttons.

“Penthouse, please,” said Kenny as he led Cleo to the back of the large elevator. He leaned casually against the railing, but was eyeing Cleo mischievously. She raised a questioning eyebrow as she looked up at him.

As the elevator started its ascent to the top floor, Cleo felt Kenny’s hand trailing slowly up her backside, lifting the back of her flowy dress with ease. He looked straight on, as if nothing was happening, but everything was happening inside of her. He always made her feel wanted, and she always wanted him. His hand cupped her bottom and his fingers trailed the edges of her lace panties. She shook her head at him playfully, eyeing the doorman. Kenny grinned down at her before giving her a little squeeze. She would take him right here in this elevator if it weren’t for the unaware old man standing in front of them.

In the months they had been together, they could not keep their hands off one another. It was as if they were exploring uncharted territory, and no space could be left undiscovered. This was the reason they were late all the time. Their friends had become used to it, saying they were in the honeymoon stage. Obviously, they weren’t married yet, but Cleo thought about it. Often. It was early into their relationship, but when you know you know.

The elevator slowly came to a stop and Kenny slid his hand from beneath her dress.

“The penthouse,” the doorman announced.

The doors slid open to reveal 360-degree views of the city below, framed by large white pillars and freshly polished, dark wood floors.

“Justin does not mess around,” said Cleo, looking around in awe.
