I force a smile. “Yeah. Why do you ask?”
“What happened to drinks?”
“Huh?”
“I thought you were going for drinks with your friend?”
I smile, remembering how it had felt to have Liam pushed against his fridge. My panties are still a little wet.
He had been decadent.
I want him.
I want him again.
“I only had one drink, Annie, and it was delicious,” I chuckle. My moods are oscillating from blood drunk, happy, and horny, to confused and slightly manic.
“Well, I am glad you had fun.”
Oh! She has no idea.
“I did. Goodnight, Annie.”
“Night Selene. And you might want to change your top. I think someone spilled something on you.”
I look down to see that I have a few droplets of his blood staining my clothes.
I smell of blood and pine.
Fucking decadent.
“Thanks,” I mutter as I quickly move toward my bedroom. This night is wild, and I have a feeling that it might have just begun.
I open my phone to check if I have any pending messages and when I find none, I collapse onto my bed lifting my jacket up to my nose.
He smells amazing.
“Are you smelling me, you weirdo?”
I look up and find storm-gray eyes staring back at me. “Liam, how did you get here so fast?”
“I had to make sure you got home okay.”
I stand up to walk to him. “I can take care of myself, Liam.”
“I know,” he growls before his hand is on the back of my head, pulling me in for a kiss. My knees feel weak as he pulls my entire body into him.
It is heady, the rush of him in his entirety.
“Liam,” I whisper.
He cups my cheek before kissing my neck. “I know.”
I am not even sure what he thinks he knows, but I am too terrified to ask.
Instead, I let him reach for the button of my pants. He is breathing heavily, erratically.
“Can I?”
