A part of my heart leaves with him even though he’s just down the hall.

Each one of them looked at me like I was a goddess, their own piece of beauty to worship. Sasha invited me into his nest, a decision that isn’t made lightly. By the time I shower and return to the bed, donning one of my favorite large shirts to sleep in, I can’t bear the emptiness that this room brings. Which is stupid. I met my mates twelve hours ago and somehow can’t imagine sleeping in here all alone.

It’s why I creep down the hall, my fist hovering inches from the door that Kolsen told me to approach if I needed something. The door swings open, Kolsen filling the frame. His crooked smile widens as he holds out his hand. “I was wondering if you would change your mind. Sasha was asking for you.”

My brows arch as I take Kolsen’s hand and he pulls me into the room. It’s very different from the guest bedroom. While there is still a bed, it’s perched in the corner. Half of the room is covered in a thick mattress, pillows and blankets covering most of the surface. I’m not sure what I expected Sasha’s nest to look like but the dark theme seems to be Sasha’s choosing and not completely his Alphas’.

Sasha pops up, reaching for me as I stumble into his nest. He crushes me against his chest as we lay down, Kolsen wrapping himself around my back and Amiri pressing against Sasha. The myriad of scents is just shy of overwhelming but I focus on how well I fit in between them. “Thought you wouldn’t come, buttercup. I’m glad you did.”

I angle my head up, Sasha taking the invitation to kiss me. It’s soft and slow, both Alphas groaning as Sasha’s tart scent sweetens.

“I’m glad I did too,” I whisper before snuggling in closer.

Chapter sixteen

CAMILA

I open my eyes to a strip of bacon waving in my face, a positively wild Omega grinning as if he’s won the lottery. “Breakfast time,” he purrs before pulling the bacon away and replacing it with him. He rolls us together until I’m lying on top of him, Sasha wrapping his free arm around my waist. “Goddess, finding you in my nest is going to become addicting.” He leans up and presses a light kiss to my lips. I just frown.

“I haven’t even brushed my teeth yet.” I’m more self-conscious about the fact that Sasha is lying completely beneath me, taking the brunt of my weight.

“I don’t really care. I found another mate and I’m going to smother you with attention. Get used to it. Now, there’s bacon, sausage, eggs, and Kolsen makes these really mouthwatering pancakes.” Sasha’s arm moves down, his hand gripping my ass through the shirt I threw on last night. Unfortunately, the fabric has ridden up, revealing just how few clothes I’m wearing underneath. “Buttercup, are you naked under here?” His eyes start sparkling as he searches my expression. “Seriously? And you came to sleep in my nest? Goddess, I wish I had known. I-”

Sasha disappears from under me after I’m rolled over onto my side, Amiri standing at the edge of the nest with a finger pulling the Omega’s collar. The playful moment switches into a heated one, Sasha’s citrus scent thickening and filling the room. Amiri’s nostrils flare at the change, my disoriented ass blinking at both of them as I settle on my knees.

Most mornings before work I’m scrambling around for clean clothes and trying to avoid another lecture from my father. This is a welcome change but there’s also so much going on here that I feel a little out of place.

“Let her breathe, Sash.” Amiri’s attention turns to me, his gaze softening and his head tilting to the side. “Sweetheart, are you hungry?”

I nod, Sasha twisting around as he holds up the piece of bacon. “See? I was going to feed her but then-”

Amiri chuckles, tightening his hold on Sasha’s collar. It’s mesmerizing watching Sasha’s demeanor flit between submissive and playful. He’s a bit of a brat, isn’t he? And I’m loving every last second of it. “Sash, I love you but your excitement is going to terrify our Beta so early in the morning.”

Our Beta.

It sounds so real when he says it.

I have no idea how to respond to that though, scrambling past them and into the guest bedroom to find clothes. As much as I would love to stay in bed, the day beckons. Fifteen minutes later, I emerge in a baby blue button-down dress that hugs my curves. When packing, I stuffed as many of my mother’s dresses into my bag because I love them so much and they really do accentuate my best assets. It also makes it feel like she’s still here sometimes, stupid as that sounds.

My hair is pulled up into a tight bun, out of my face to show off the small hoops Zana gifted me on my birthday last year. Satisfied, I push toward the kitchen, an open layout attached to the living room. It’s much larger than the one I grew up in with a U-shaped counter outfitting the entire nook. It has to be 10 or 12 feet across and the large island in the middle makes me think that they occasionally entertain a party or two here. The kitchen is doused in black and crimson as well, black marble accentuated with crimson trim. It looks out into the living room, the large TV on the opposite wall able to be seen from any angle.

These three haven’t skimped on the luxurious feeling but it still feels like a home.

My attention shifts when suddenly three pairs of eyes focus on me. I freeze and stare at my clothes and then start patting my face, wondering if I’ve forgotten something.

Sasha rushes over to my side, shaking his head. “Nothing’s wrong. You just look so… innocent. Adorable but innocent.”

“She’s not innocent,” Kolsen rumbles as he turns back to the stove before retrieving a pan. He places it on the center island. “Not after last night.” That damn list makes an appearance and I feel my cheeks flush with embarrassment. When Violet and I had been joking about it at work, it had been just that—a joke. Even at the fair, it was still more of a joke. Staring between the three of them, I realize that it might become a competition.

A way for them to pull me out of my comfort zone.

I’m not complaining but am I ready? I’ve never entertained more than one man at a time and this wouldn’t be entertaining anyone. They are my mates. And what if I don’t like something? Or they don’t like something I’ve done? My mind starts spiraling as I realize that the entirety of yesterday that I’ve known them has been focused on me and my pleasure.

I’ve done nothing to satiate them, to take care of them, or even show them that I would. In my limited experience, an Alpha always wants his touch reciprocated and an Omega is supposed to be the center of attention. Instinctively, I take a step back, hating how my mind makes my body react. When Sasha rushes over to my side, tears fill my eyes, all three of them instantly alert.

“Camila, what’s wrong? Forget the list, okay?” He pulls me into his chest, running his nose along my cheek. It takes me a few minutes to realize he’s marking me, trying to calm me with his scent. How can he though? When I haven’t so much as taken an interest in his pleasure? Maybe I should have asked them to fuck me. Or I could have-

Amiri is suddenly in front of me, pinching my chin to meet his hooded stare. “Absolutely not.”
