After bidding farewell to the others, Maggie hopped into the car and waved through the window.
“Well, it’s just the four of us now. So…what do you want to do, Sienna?” Noah smirked at me; he was such a goof sometimes.
“Why don’t we cook something nice and play some board games? Let’s chill a bit; I’m exhausted from all that hiking you’re forcing us to do,” I said.
Noah opened his mouth and put his hand on his chest.
“Excuse me?” he said like he was offended. “You wound me. I haven’t forced anyone to come with me. You clearly wanted to show off that perfect ass by wearing those leggings. So don’t blame it on me. You obviously came with your own agenda.”
“Which was…?”
“Tempting us, babe. Why do you think we kept letting you lead the hike?” Zayn answered with a grin.
An hour later, with our bellies full of delicious ravioli pasta cooked by Zayn, we sat on the carpeted floor in the middle of the living room. Noah cut several pieces of chocolate cake so we could eat them in front of the cozy fireplace. I lay on my back with my head propped against one of the sofas as I accepted a plate from Noah, which I carefully placed on my lap.
“What game do you want to play?” I asked.
“Not Monopoly, that’s for sure,” Zayn exclaimed while sitting cross-legged in front of me. “Last time we played, Noah got upset and spent an entire week avoiding Ander’s calls. He’s super competitive.”
“I’m not,” Noah replied. “I just don’t like when people cheat.”
“What about UNO?” I asked.
“Do you enjoy violence, Sienna? Otherwise, I don’t know why you’d suggest such a thing,” Ander responded, moving his head from side to side.
“I have an idea.”
We all looked at Noah, waiting for him to speak.
He lifted a finger. “Truth or dare.”
“What are we, twelve?” Zayn laughed.
“Are you worried we’re gonna find something you don’t want us to find out? We know you have yellow pajamas with Minions all over it. We don’t need a stupid game to find out you’re a teddy bear at heart,” Ander stated.
Ander had lived with Zayn for months now, so I was sure he knew many things about him that I could ask about during the game. I couldn’t hold my laughter.
“Minions? How cute, Zayn. Okay, I’m in, but if you don’t answer and want to avoid the dare, a piece of clothing must go,” I added.
“Uhhhhh. I like it. You go first, princess. Truth or dare?” Noah asked me.
“Dare.”
“Brave girl…” Ander whispered.
Noah ran his hand through his hair before speaking.
“Okay. I have a good one. I challenge you to share what you like most about each one of us.”
“That’s an easy one. Zayn, I like how protective you are and the passion you put into everything you do. Noah, I like your confidence and your sense of humor. Even in my lowest moments, you always know how to make me laugh. And Ander, these months in the lab have shown me how smart you are and how driven you are in every aspect of your life.”
“You overlooked pointing out my good looks, but I’ll let it slide since you’ve just been discharged from the hospital,” Noah responded.
“That’s very kind of you,” I said with a straight face.
“Okay, now it’s your turn to ask, Sienna,” Ander added, taking a bite of his chocolate cake.
“Zayn. Truth or dare?” I challenged.
