“She said herself that she’ll be fine. She’s got a gun,” I replied.
Setting the table, Brock asked the more pressing question. “What about us and her?”
I shrugged. “What do you mean?” I knew exactly what he meant, but never missed an opportunity to fuck with him.
“I mean, what happened last night wasn’t exactly on the menu.”
“Ohhh, you mean…” Grinning, I poured the last of the pancake mix into the frying pan.
“Yeah…. I mean…” Brock waved toward the still-sleeping Genevieve. “Maybe it shouldn’t have happened.”

Genevieve
As I began to emerge from the land of the sleeping, I heard the men that I’d just spent the night with indulging in chatting. I’m not usually an eavesdropping type of person, but I couldn’t resist pretending to sleep, if only for a few minutes.
“I mean, what happened last night wasn’t exactly on the menu.” That was definitely Brock. Hmmm.
“Ohhh, you mean…”
“Yeah…. I mean…” There was a pause. “Maybe it shouldn’t have happened.”
My heart sank. It shouldn’t have sunk, I mean, it didn’t really matter. I knew the score. Why would I care?
“There was no harm done. She’s not a stupid woman. She knows last night isn’t going to lead to anything.” Tyler replied.
That’s what I had told myself last night. I didn’t even know them. Two days; that was the length of time I’d known them. This was day three; it was sex and only sex.
“Perhaps.” Brock said. “I just don’t know how long we’re going to be in this situation and the last thing we need is for there to be drama or for things to be awkward.”
Tyler laughed. “I can’t see that happening. She doesn’t seem to be the type of women to fall in love easily.”
“What do you mean by that?”
I need to let them in on the fact that I’m awake, the voice in the back of my mind screamed at me. Before something is said that’ll hurt…
I groaned—loudly, sitting up and interrupting their conversation, taking care to hold the blanket tight to my chest, covering my breasts.
“Ahh, you’re awake. Just in time for breakfast.” Brock smiled at me, that swoon-worthy smile that made my heart skip a beat, the moment that I stood and as gracefully as possible attempted to keep myself covered.
I smiled back at him, though inside I was feeling uneasy. I’d never been in a threesome before and had never had casual sex before. Last night it felt good and natural to be with them, but now that it was morning and I’d heard them talk about me just being a fling it didn’t feel as good. Not at all.
I just have to distance myself from it—that’s all.
“I’ll just go get changed really quick and be right out.”
“Of course, how many pancakes do you want?” Tyler asked.
I peered over at the platter of pancakes, Tyler had made enough for an army and they were quite large. “I’ll take two. That should be plenty. And some apple juice if you have it.”
“You got it,” Tyler said giving me a wink.
Damn him for being flirty with me; it made my attempt to distance myself hard and I could feel the heat color my cheeks. “Thank you.”
Without another word, I scurried into Tyler’s bedroom and closed the door behind me. With the door closed, I leaned against it and released a loud sigh. I just had to regroup and pretend that last night didn’t happen.
Easier said than done, the voice in the back of my mind taunted. Yeah…
