I have always found it so cool that GSU has its own team of doctors to take care of its athletes.
“I bet if you put in the right amount of effort, you’ll be able to do whatever you want,” he says, and his words of encouragement fill my chest with this warm fuzziness.
“Thanks,” Iwhisper, setting my focus on eating my pancakes, which are fucking delicious. It’s hard not to moan while I devour them.
“Somebody has a healthyappetite. Would you like some more?” Ian asks when I finish at a rapid speed the three he gave me.
“Yes, please,” I reply, even though I’ll have to work my ass off in the gym for eating this many carbs, but it will totally be worth it.
“So, I’ve been thinking about your proposition,” Ian states, dishing up my plate with two more pancakes.
“Oh?” I ask, lifting a brow at him.
Has the sexy professor turned over a new leaf? Is he seriously considering being in a friends-with-benefits relationship with me? Because there is no way I’ll turn it down if he is.
“I looked into GSU’s policy on staff dating students and found out a relationship between us would be allowed if we fill out the proper paperwork. Since I’m not your professor, there is no way I could affect your grades, and I don’t hold a position of power over you. However, in order for the school to avoid any blowback, we still have to disclose our relationship ahead of time. Even if you no longer want any sort of relationship with me, I’m still going to fill out a form alerting the school of our brief history.”
A smile slowly spreads across my face. “Are you saying what I think you are?” I check.
He inhales deeply before slowly blowing it out like he’s trying to find the strength to say the words. “Like you said the other night, neither of us has the time to devote to a traditional relationship, but you weren’t wrong about our needs and desires. So, if you’re still on board with it, I’d be open to a friends-with-benefits situation with you, with one clause.”
“What’s the clause?” I inquire.
“We’ll be exclusive,” he states firmly. “I’m the jealous type. It wouldn’t bode well if I were beating up students for bragging about fucking you.”
I snicker, the picture of Ian punching a student in the face popping into my head. I’m unsure why I find it funny, but it’s also hot.
“I’ll be honest with you. I have a history of being a fuck boy. I’ve never been exclusive with anyone, but I’m willing to try it. Keep in mind, there is a possibility of people talking about sleeping with me in the past.”
“If it’s in the past and stays there, I can work with that. I’m just not willing to share you,” he tells me, and I respect his honesty.
“I’m not the cheating type,” I assure him. I’ve never been in a relationship, but I’ve seen enough people get cheated on that I vowed I would never be that person. “So, if you start feeling jealous over rumors or people gossiping, you need to talk to me.”
He smiles and dips his chin. “I can do that. I’ve printed out the paperwork we’ll need to sign. Is there a time on Monday that would work for you to drop them off? It would probably be best if we did it together. I doubt there will be any questions right then and there, but if there are, at least we’ll both be around to answer them.”
“Normally, I sleep in on Mondays, but I could meet you first thing in the morning before your first class.”
His face lights up at my response, and I love that I was able to put that look on his face.
“That would be perfect. I still can’t believe I’m agreeing to this,” he says, shaking his head.
“Are you sure you’re okay with it?” I question, and he shrugs.
“Honestly?”
I nod. “It’s usually best to go with the truth.”
He sighs. “I’m conflicted. On one hand, all I think about is you, and I’d love to fuck you again.” His words cause a lustful shiver to run down my spine. “But on the other, I’m battling this ethical side of myself that keeps screaming you’re a student.”
I reach across the table with my hand out and wait for him to take it. When he does, I squeeze it. “I understand where you’re coming from and agree it would be wrong for us to fool around if you were my professor, but you’re not. We’re both adults and are taking the proper steps to inform the school about our relationship so we’re in the clear, ethically.”
He nods, rubbing his temple with his other hand. “I understand that, but it’s going to take a minute to wrap my head around it all. I have never considered dating a student, so it’s all new.”
I squeeze his hand again. “Take all the time you need. I’ll be here waiting when you’re ready,” I assure him. “Especially now that I know you want me the same way I want you. I’ll admit, I went out last night with the mindset of finding someone to hook up with. I was desperate to get over you, but every person who crossed my path felt wrong. I even shot down the puck bunny who was more than willing to go to bed with me. In the past, I would have jumped at the opportunity, but my cock didn’t even so much as stir at her flirting. In fact, I almost threw up from the smell of her perfume. All I could think about was wanting to be with you.”
Ian’s eyebrows shoot up at my confession, and then a look of desire crosses his face. “Your words shouldn’t turn me on as much as they do.”
“Just admit that fighting whatever this is between us is pointless,” I urge him. “I want you, and you want me. Pushing each other away is only going to cause extra stress that neither of us needs.”
