Lee
“Lee?” Hearing the sound of Larsen’s voice was such a relief. I flung myself through the water and toward the rock ledge before remembering I still had a whole face mask on. I ripped it off my head and set it to the side before hopping up on the rock and greeting him with a kiss, pressing my lips to his in an almost painful way before releasing him.
Chase jumped up onto the rock beside us and looked around. “Dude, this is pretty awesome. Why have you never told me about this?”
I tossed an apologetic grin to Larsen and shrugged. “Sorry. I couldn’t have come out here without him, he jumped in the boat while I was leaving.”
Larsen laughed. “Did he really?”
“Man, you should have seen her. Giana was freaking out on the beach, but she wouldn’t touch the water. She stayed behind when Lee got your boat to the water and jumped in without a second thought. Once we got it started, she made sure we took off like a bat out of hell. I couldn’t have stopped her if I tried.”
Larsen laughed and kissed me again. “That doesn’t surprise me. Starfish here isn’t one to be reckoned with.”
“Yeah, so now that we’ve found you, all is good.” I looked up at the ceiling. There was water pouring through the holes in the top of the rock as rain poured from the sky. The storm was growing, and it looked like we made it right in time.
“Not sure if it’s a good idea to go back out in it. I didn’t think I could make it back on my own since I was out here swimming without a boat, but if this is the storm we were supposed to get tomorrow, then it’s going to be a bad one.”
“Yeah, I agree with that. It would be best to wait it out here. At least here we have some cover,” Chase agreed as he watched the rock above.
Thunder boomed so loud, I wouldn’t have been surprised if the earth opened up and swallowed us whole. The rock seemed to vibrate with the force of the storm, and I scooted closer to Larsen, who lifted an arm to cocoon me into his side.
“What were you even doing out here anyway?” Chase asked. “I thought all your scuba and snorkel lessons ended hours ago.”
“They did,” Larsen confirmed, then reached into his pocket and pulled out a necklace. He held the chain out in front of me, and in the dim light from the storm raging above us, I saw what looked to be a starfish.
I took the piece of jewelry and turned it over in my hand.
“I wanted you to have a starfish around your neck that’s actually been in the ocean.”
My heart melted with his statement, and I leaned forward as he motioned me to turn so he could clasp it around my neck. My fingers rubbed against the small indents in the little charm as words failed me.
“Well, shit.” It was so sweet, and I didn’t want to ruin it with words, but it looked like I would anyway. “I love it,” I blurted, as I lifted my head to kiss him.
Larsen’s hand wrapped around the back of my head, pushing my mouth closer to his for a searing kiss, like I was all the oxygen he’d need in this little cave. My arms moved up until my fingers were tangling in his hair, pulling and keeping us sealed together. His tongue pried open my mouth and darted in, battling with mine.
My head spun as I was lost in him, all the stress and relief from the day flowing out of me and being replaced by a feeling of warmth. Finally, things were beginning to come together. Chase and I had made up, and I’d found Larsen safe even if we were trapped in a cave in the middle of a raging storm. The important thing was we were all together and safe. That was all that mattered.
The heated kisses slowed as he pulled his tongue from mine. I cracked my eyes open as his mouth moved to place kisses against the side of my mouth and then my cheek, his gaze focused on something behind me—Chase.
“I guess you two made up if you’re here together.” His breath sent shivers through my body as he spoke, the hot air mingling with the goosebumps on my skin from being in the water and not having dried off yet.
“Yup,” Chase replied, and I turned my head to look at him. He was sitting on the rock with his legs stretched out and crossed at the ankles. His hands were braced against the ground behind him as he leaned back at an angle, wearing a big smile on his face as he watched.
“Well, are you going to sit there and watch the whole time or join in?” Larsen’s words surprised me and made my stomach flip.
Join in? I wouldn’t be opposed to that if we were thinking the same thing.
In a wordless answer, Chase got to his hands and knees and crawled the few feet to us. “I can’t think of a better distraction right now.” His mouth landed on my shoulder as he nipped at the skin there then licked away the sting.
While Larsen framed my face with his hands and pulled my mouth toward him to claim again, Chase’s fingers slid around my front and gripped my hip, using me as an anchor to pull himself closer, and I moaned when I felt his growing erection press against my backside.
With one of my hands still tangled in Larsen’s hair, I wound the other one down the front of his chest until I found Chase’s hand. Clasping his, I guided it toward the fire low inside me, needing him to stoke the flames. He let me lead the way as I pulled it where I needed it, sliding his hand into my bikini bottoms and then arching my back when he took over and started circling my clit, dipping a finger between the folds with every few circles.
I needed to do more than just sit here and pull out Larsen’s hair until he was bald. Dragging my mouth from his and smiling at his groan of protest, I tugged at the strings of his trunks.
His eyes darkened with lust as he received my message and stripped the trunks off in record time. He moved to take my mouth with his, but I was ready for my lips to be wrapped around something else.
