“Lies, baby. I've seen you on your knees and you did exactly what pleased me. Let's be real, cara angelo. Sex was never our problem. I broke your trust and I want to make that right.”
He kissed up my thighs until he met the hem of my shorts.
“I don't need forgiveness. That’ll come. What I want is another chance with your heart, body, and your spirit, baby. Let me earn my way back right.” He leaned up and captured my lips before I could speak. “Let me be your man.”
He covered me with his body while taking my lips again. He pressed his body to mine and pinned me underneath him. Wrong … it was too much, too fast, when he knew how much I loved us like this. His mouth worked, stirring up a frenzy that I wasn't strong enough to fight off.
I let go of everything to feel something good. Feel something for me. This moment was pure, and he'd already stated his intentions. The more we kissed, the more clothes seemed to fall away, the deeper the kiss, the more that seem to disappear. His jacket, his t-shirt, my t-shirt, my bra, his pants, my shorts, his socks, my panties, his boxer briefs.
“Oh!” I gasped when he was inside of me. “Yes!”
I rolled over on top of him and sat all the way down on him, gripping him tight. The spasms started inside me and worked their way through him.
“Fuck, not this quick!” He tried to move me, but I flexed my vaginal muscles and bucked against him. “Fuck! Yolanda, wait!” Except it was too late. He was coming. I rode him, stroking him to completion, and he growled when he was done.
“I thought you were going to give me a reason.” I teased him, biting the side of my finger.
“Mhm. Gimme a minute. Fuck!” He cursed.
“I have all day.” I smiled and climbed off of him. That's when I realized he wasn't wearing a condom. “Ro?” I looked between us.
“I tried to tell you.” He exhaled, still trying to catch his breath. “You're safe, baby. Whatever you want. I have condoms in my wallet.”
I thought about it. We needed to take this slowly. I wouldn't knock a blessing, either.
“Okay.” I lay beside him and he pulled me into his arms.
“When I win you over, have a place in mind for our wedding.”
“You mean one better than the first time?” I asked.
“Yes,” he laughed. “Much better than the first time.”
Ro pulled me into his arms and held me. He dozed off while I stroked the hair on his arms. Hairy man. It was okay because I loved the feel of it when his face was between my legs. He wasn't so furry that bears should worry, but it was a pleasant contrast from my own smooth skin.
“I love you, too Ro.”
He pulled me tighter against him and kissed my bare shoulder.
“Give me ten and I'll have you shouting it from the rooftops.” He mumbled.
“You better.” I nestled into his arms, and I've never felt more protected than at this moment.
We'd agreed to a fresh start. I hoped that we truly could.
Chapter Nineteen
TAMMARO
Ileaned against my car, waiting for Donald to be wheeled out of the hospital. Mrs. Chambers was beside him as the nurse rolled him to the curb.
“I already have a ride,” he said to me.
“I sent your driver home. Figured your son-in-law should make sure that you get there safely.” I smirked.
His hands clenched when I said ‘son-in-law’. I chuckled, not needing a refresher about why that got under his skin.
After the nurse helped him inside, I opened the door for Mrs. Chambers, and we all sat in the back of the Lincoln Navigator. My driver took off and drove toward their home.
