“Any problems?” I asked Animal.

“Nah, I feel embarrassed for them.”

I glanced in the rearview mirror and saw Animal watching her eat her burger. The way she devoured it made me hungry.

“Chuck it out the window,” I said to Animal because I felt like being a petty bitch.

She pulled away from Animal and held her burger away from him, smearing the glass window.

“Try it,” she said to Animal.

I grinned and turned around to watch. I wouldn’t challenge that crazy bastard to anything.

Animal smirked at her before making a grab for her burger, and as his head came forward, she smacked her forehead against his face. I cringed because it looked fucking painful. He grabbed her by the throat and pinned her head on the seat. She threw the burger, and I watched it hit the car roof and land on Widower's lap.

“What the fuck? Animal, she is half the size of you. Is this how I trained you?” He asked angrily as he glanced down at the half-eaten burger.

“Fuck—Y-you,” she wheezed out.

“Can I sit on her because I can’t punch her in the face like I want to?” Animal snarled.

I looked at his face, and he had blood running down his lips.

“No. Just hold onto her and maybe keep away from her head,” I said with a chuckle.

I was relieved to get out of there. The cat was out of the bag they knew exactly who took her. I had wanted to make them sweat it out for a little while.

He let go of her throat, and she gasped for breath.

“Are you buying me breakfast in the morning?” She asked Animal.

He looked bewildered for a moment.

“It’s the least guys do after they give me a good choking,” she said with a snicker before she ended up having a coughing fit as she held her throat.

I turned to look at the road, rubbing my forehead. She was going into the Shed where I didn’t need to listen to her mouth. I hadn’t thought anyone could be worse than Animal.

“Ah—you have a little blood there. Do you need a tissue?”

Widower started to laugh.

“Animal got fucked up by a girl,” he said in between his laughter. “I can’t wait to tell the others.”

“Can you pass me my burger, please?”

I rolled down my window, grabbed the burger that still lay on Widower's lap, and tossed it out.

“That was a waste of food. Don’t you know there is a cost of living crisis right now?”

“Put her out,” I said flatly to Animal in the rearview mirror.

I watched him let go of her arm and grip her neck. I kept my eyes on her face.

“Oww.”

It took a few seconds, but she went limp, and her eyes shut.

The rest of the journey was blissful.
