We went home and had dinner together. Rosalie’s presence helped alleviate some of the tension between us. The girls stuck together like glue, and part of me loved how well they got on together. The jealous bastard in me wanted all of Gia to myself.

I cleared my throat, making the girls look over at me.

“Can I give you a tour of the house, Gia?”

She glanced at Rosalie with her eyes wide in surprise.

For fuck’s sake. I would have let her out once she had signed the marriage certificate.

Rosalie yawned and stretched her arms.

“I’m having an early night. You kids have fun,” she said, kissing and hugging Gia before she walked over to my chair.

I stood up and kissed her cheek.

“Goodnight, Rosalie,” I said as she kissed my cheek and gave me a tight hug.

As soon as she left the dining room, the tension in the room was palpable.

“I—I shouldn’t have sent that text, Roman. I was just so angry and frustrated. Can you understand that?”

I walked over towards my uncertain little nerd. She was playing with her napkin and wouldn’t look at me.

“Yes, I did eventually. I’m sorry for keeping you locked up, Gia. I should have thought ahead and put a tracker inside you,” I said with a smile, knowing it would piss her off.

She looked up at me with her jaw slack and her eyes so wide it looked as if her eyeballs might pop out.

“I’m joking,” I said before pausing. “Kind of,” I added because it made sense to know her location at all times.

She pushed her glasses up her nose using one finger and glared at me.

“Come on, let’s take a walk,” I said, holding out my hand.

As she stood up, I took the time to appreciate the shopping they did earlier. She was wearing a stunning red dress similar to the one I had first seen her in. This was definitely her colour. I might need to get all her things out of the basement.

“You look beautiful tonight, Gia,” I said, putting my arm around her waist. “You should go shopping more often.”

“With a million guards? No thanks. Online shopping will do. I don’t really like trailing around all the shops.”

I brought my hands down the silky material to cup her ass cheeks.

“Perfect,” I said, pressing her closer towards my hard dick.

“We need to talk about this whole wedding, Roman,” she said, trying to pull away from me.

“I will not concede on this subject, Gia. We are getting married in two days,” I said in a hard voice.

“Fine. But I’m marrying you for your sister—and maybe your dick,” she sniped back.

I grinned and put my arm around her waist before guiding her out of the dining room.

I could live with that.

We took a walk around the gardens. My men remained hidden to ensure we had some privacy. I held her hand, and just like that, all the tension seemed to slip away. I sat her down on one of the wooden benches and crouched down in front of her. She smiled hesitantly at me.

I pulled her new gold phone out.
