“Yeah, I’m really sorry for your loss,” I said softly.

“It did something a little deeper to him. He threw me into a boarding school in Europe for the last seven years. I was only sixteen, and although we speak almost daily, I miss home so much. I only got to come home because of the wedding.”

“A wedding I had no idea about,” I grumbled before sighing and turning on my side to face Rosalie.

She seemed like the only sane person I had met since being brought here. She had the same colouring as Roman. Her eyes were dark brown like his, as was her long dark hair. But her jaw and lips must take after her mum or dad because they were different to Roman’s. I never realised how much I had scrutinised him. She was like a sane female version of him.

“Let’s go shopping,” she said as if it was the answer to all of my prayers.

I cocked an eyebrow at her.

“Are you sure I won’t try and go for a coat hanger?” I snarked.

“I think it’s safe to say that you drive my brother crazy, and that’s good enough for me. I have my own security team, so we are good. I can instruct them to watch for any of your coat-hanger antics.”

And just like that, I decided I loved Rosalie. Fuck Roman, and fuck Eleanor.

“I’m desperate to get out of this room, so shopping it is. I’m sick of wearing your brother's clothes and underwear. My boobs have forgotten what a bra is,” I said, looking down at my poor girls.

She grimaced and shook her head.

“Will it make you feel better knowing it’s his money we are about to spend?” She asked.

“Didn’t you get the part where he got me sacked, froze my bank accounts and got me evicted from my home? I like the sound of payback.”

She smiled widely at me before chuckling.

“That is insane. I cannot believe my brother did this to you. We can go for a spa treatment afterwards, and you can give me all of the intricate courting details. I could hold this over my brother for years to come,” she said, giggling with glee.

I flopped back down on the bed glaring at the ceiling.

“I have no clothes.”

“Use mine. Hurry up before he catches on to what we are up to. He has plenty of spies around.”

I fucking loved Rosalie.

Chapter 19

Roman

I glared at my phone, that’s been silent for days. It’s taken me this long to calm down after she threatened to abort my child with a fucking coat hanger. I couldn’t see her until I had calmed the fuck down. Eleanor showed me the smashed phone. I finally conceded to myself that locking her up in a bedroom might not have been the way forward, but the thought of her disappearing from my life had been too big a risk.

Not to mention I’ve never had to compromise with anyone before. The fact that I felt depressed from pussy withdrawal was a whole different topic, but it may have tipped in my fiery nerd’s favour. I sighed and tapped my fingers on my desk.

A knock pulled me out of my thoughts. Dante walked in.

“Rosalie is at home.”

“Why the fuck didn’t you tell me?” I said, standing up and reaching for my jacket. It had been too long since I’d seen my sister in the flesh.

“Well, she is home, but not in the house. The girls went out shopping.”

I paused, putting my jacket on. My sleep-deprived brain tried to comprehend Dante’s words.

I pulled my gun from its holder and pointed it at Dante’s face.

“Who has gone where exactly?” I gritted to him before cocking the gun.
