I paused, he was genuine. He actually meant it. Well knock me over, Zilon had been right. They were trying. I never expected that. I stormed over here ready to tell him where to stick it. Instead, I was met with that same heat I had had in the hallway.

I knew exactly where I wanted him to stick it. Which, considering I was already bonded to two other dragons, was probably a problem.

A big problem. Unless riders were supposed to be horny monsters, not that I had any idea.

“Rayna,” he whispered, pulling me closer. The heat that was boiling between us was that need and want from before. But this passion wasn’t the same desperate love I had felt brewing. It was rooted in something angry. Somehow that made me want it more. “If dragons are meant to mate for life, why can’t we know who we are committing to before making that decision? Why can’t we know for sure, too?”

I knew what he was asking, and as pissed as I was, I wanted it. There was this loud and angry part that still felt that connection to him that was desperate to try.

We stood there, side by side on the edge of the overlook, the whole world before us.

He took in a deep breath. “How can I know if what I feel for you is real if you never give me a chance?”

“Then let’s take the chance.” I wanted to, but I hadn’t expected what came next.

He shoved me into the gully.

My eyes widened and I let out a scream as I fell, the wind whipping around me.

There was a roar that echoed through the air and then a red dragon shot passed me. I landed hard on his body, crying out as my limbs scraped over scales. Energy surged through me and before I understood what was happening, I was flying through the air on Landers back, my body moving through his spines as I slid right in that sweet spot between his shoulders.

As soon as his spine wrapped around my legs, that familiar heat spread through my body. My pussy clenched, already knowing what was coming. I wasn’t let down as his spine slammed inside of me, filling me, stretching.

I cried out, lost in the pain and pleasure that consumed me. His spines swelled inside of me, filling me to the brink as he locked me in place. The spine pumped into me, more moving over my clit as his dragon took me right to the edge, and then over it. His heat spread through me as something wet erupted and I came.

Landers let out a screech, the air suddenly scorching hot as he released a fiery breath. Then he was spinning and I was screaming trying to hold onto him, blinking back tears. Everything was overwhelming.

I felt my own horror and confusion, but I also felt all of them inside of me. Landers’ pride. Philit’s shock. Zilon’s hurt. It all hurt to feel so much, all it became a jumbled mess.

Two bonds was a lot to take in, but now there were three and it was all too overwhelming.

Three dragons. Three bonds.

Three mates.

‘Impossible.’

Chapter Twenty-Seven

“Put me down! You bastard!” I yelled and slammed my fists into his back, my body stuck there thanks to the spines that were everywhere. Landers held me differently than the other two, the spines on Landers back held me down so that I was laying over his back, that one long spine fully embedded in me.

Deep. Powerful.

‘I am. I will. I’m sorry Rayna.’ At least he seemed remorseful, but that might be just because he felt how furious I was. I was furious. If I could spit fire, I would.

‘I’m so sorry. I didn’t think…’ Landers mumbled as he finally landed back where the others were waiting. He landed with a thud, the other two glaring at him, looking like they wanted to tear him apart.

Finally his spine receded from me as he shifted into his human form. I ignored the emptiness he left me feeling as I climbed off his back, Zilon and Philit were both there to help me. Which was good, as I seemed to have forgotten how to use my legs.

“You bastard!” I yelled, rounding on Landers who stood there tall, naked, and all too proud, including his dick. If the situation had been different, I probably would have enjoyed what he had to offer. Frankly, he had every right to be as confident as he was, his body was a living sculpture of pure beauty.

But the longer I stared at him, the more the numbness finally slipped away, leaving something hot and furious bubbling inside of me.

“I’m going to strangle you,” I whispered and tried to lunge after him. Zilon wrapped his arm around me and yanked me.

“As much as I’m for strangling him, let’s not resort to murder until we know what the hell happened?”

“That bastard shoved me off a cliff! Then he caught me as a dragon!”
